  1. Dunn in left Murton in Right for next year.
  2. Truth be told the way I see a #1 starter is I want to see a 3 era or below. Anything more than I think you can be considered a #2. There are not that many #1s around, those are the pitchers that should be called aces.
  3. yeah right he had all offseason to fix the bullpen, that worked out well didn't it? He will do like he always does and wait until the deadline. Again it will be too late. How was he too late in 2003? He didn't even wait until the deadline. And in 2004 it was too late? I'm sorry, but we lost because of what happened in the last 10 days (or so). Not because Hendry waited 10 days (??) too long to make a trade. Sorry, but I disagree Hendry did not look for that closer until the wiavers were enabled and of course a team blocked us. If we got Mesa or somebody else before the waivers chances are we would not have to rely on Hawkins and probably make it to the playoffs. See, if you ask me, we lost the wild card lead in the last week to ten days because our offense was worn out and couldn't score against some of the worst pitching staffs in the league. Everyone slumped at the same time. Hawkins's blown saves were just a byproduct. And yes, I realize that without a bunch of our blown saves, we would have also won the wild card last year.. but as Tim and several others here in the past have pointed out, Hawkins wasn't really as bad last year in the closer role as everyone would like to think. Yeah, Hawkins WAS that bad, and on top of that faultered at the end where it really counted and had a .333 save % in 1run save situations. He sucked.

  5. There's nothing to be optimistic about. When we lost 2 in a row to the Reds after just 2 weeks ago we have lost 8 in a row I would say that were are proper @(*#&. We have a bad manager and a crappy bullpen. What else do you need to know? Man of 2nd and 3rd nobody out yet we couldnt even get another run in? You bring in Novoa again after that stressfull inning? No way we win the wildcard. Look at how the Astros and Braves have been playing. No chance man.

  7. Dusty is an idiot for bringing in Novoa for a 2nd inning. Novoa is a moron for balking.

  10. Why bring Novoa for the 8th after an inning like the 7th? Crazy man just crazy.
  11. Clutch, clutch pitching and defense after the screwups.
  12. Agreed, if they get a chance that is :)
  13. Leave it up for the rookies to score haha.
  14. Cy Milton taking care of business.
  15. There's no way in heck the Indians would trade Sabathia to anybody let alone for Adam Dunn.
  16. The fact is Wood has not dominated or had his good stuff since the end of 2003 as far as I'm concerned.
  17. Even last year Rusch wasn't that great from the pen. Now that Kerry Wood is injured though he will have his cake and eat it too. Make or break time for Rusch as far as I'm concerned.
  18. So much for Rich Lewis being our savior at 2B.
  19. It's not that Wood's injury was secondary it's the fact that it always happens to the point where it is a routine now.
  20. Loss in velocity is never a good thing. I won't be surprised if he ends up having season ending surgery. It's never good when u lose 5mph.
  21. Wow, we have a fragile minor-league system or at least it seems that way.
  22. You know you have issues when you are more injury prone than Josh Beckett.
