    Somebody needs to take a deep breath and step away from the keyboard a bit. Maybe you should relax a bit. I'm getting sick and tired of this pathetic offense. Derrek smoked that ball, and there are more deserving targets for your venting. That's the problem. There is too many deserving targets.

    I disagree. There a couple of good teams playing for the WC. Astros right about now areplaying probably the best baseball in the majors. Things have changed since 2003.

    I'm sorry but until this team learns how to execut the fundamentals there's no way we make it to the playoffs. How many times can we not get the man from 3rd to home? It's beyond ridiculous.

    I dont like this trade one bit. The last thing we need is players like Soriano on this team who cant walk and k a lot. Sure, his other numbers are good but we should put our efforts into getting a low k high OBP guy like Huff, and even though the Ks are high Dunn. I would take Huff or Dunn over Soriano any day.

    Identical to Chan Ho? I doubt it. On top of that he has one of the worst contracts. There is no way Chan becomes a cub.

    I listened to Hendry on WGN radio today and he didnt seem too optimistic about a trade because unlike last year everybody is looking for a setup man and OF and it would cost too much for us. He also said that Cedeno isnt going anywhere and that he called Murton "rising star". He also mentioned that he doesnt want to get rid of anymore prospects because he wants them to grow as Cubs. He did mention he is not looking for a quick fix.

    Yeah, Hawkins took a paycut to come here my ass. He was paid a pretty penny, and it cost us a 1st round pick.

    The more I think about it the more I think we will not make a move. Once again, it looks like it might come down to us and the Astros. They have been playing unreal right now.

    Why don't the players just the hell up and play baseball. Last time I checked were 3rd in our division and might not possibly make the playoffs. Do the Yankees,Philadelphia, and Boston players whine about it? Probably not. So what, Hawkins got booed as did other players who underachieved as Cubs. I will never forget what Hawkins said about him being able to do everybodies job but none us being able to do his. Well, let's just say his comments were asinine.
