  1. And in the meantime Wuertz has looked very good for the A's. We should have never traded him especially if we were not to resign Wood.
  2. Cotts sucks! Seriously, he isn't even a loogy. He's just not good.
  3. That was a fast outing by Heilman. Cotts isn't even a good lefty.
  4. We all know K. Hill isn't a great offensive catcher but I'd take him over Bako any day.
  5. It always seems Looper pitches very well against us.
  6. That video is hilarious! Pay attention to Fuku in the background, he's doing the moonwalk.
  7. I really don't think Patton will make it through the end of the year and when that happens releasing Gaudin for nothing will look like a mistake but whatever, we have some options available in the minors. Still surprised Wuertz was traded.
  8. Ugh don't remind me. Getting rid of DeRosa was dumb. Terrible move. I still don't understand what Hendry was thinking. I'm pretty convinced the argument that he wanted to get more left handed to the point that he was willing to downgrade the team by doing it is right. Hopefully Fontenot is good and Bradley is healthy this year to offset the downgrade in versatility. You can still get more left-handed and not trade DeRo. You can make them share time at 2B with Fontenot batting against righties and keep DeRo for his versatility. It was a complete screw up by Hendry, no question about it.
  9. Ugh don't remind me. Getting rid of DeRosa was dumb.
  10. If that's the real reason that trade fell through then everyone on the the vikings staff should be fired for stupidity. Instead, they decided keep Tavaris Jackson and trade for Sage Rosenfels :) I actually think Sage will be good for them but he's no Cutler.
  11. Gaudin was never the same after that mysterious back injury he had last year. I probably would have released Vizcaino over Gaudin but 2 mil to eat is easier than 4.
  12. I hope they are not done upgrading the line. In particular, I'd like to see them still look at tackles. I don't feel like we know enough about Williams yet and I don't trust Pace to stay healthy. If Angelo is going to ignore one side of the ball in the draft I hope he ignores the offense, but of course I don't think he'll ignore the draft. I would still expect better players in rounds 1-3 than rounds 4-7 though. I disagree. We have Pace, Williams, Schafer, and Omiyale. More than fine.
  13. Damaged goods. I'm not expecting the same Harden this year as previous years.
  14. I fully expect Pace to be signed now.
  15. Wigginton would have made a lot more sense than Aaron frickin' Miles.
  16. There's definitely a lot of competition. I think it takes 2 1sts and maybe 1 or 2 players to get it done. Sounds extreme but considering how long we've been waiting for a franchise Qb it's a move the Bears must make. On a side note I understand Pace can play at a high level but are they looking at all of these tackles because they are not sold on Williams? The last thing we need to deal with is yet another 1st round bust pick.
  17. Bradley's bat is obviously much better than DeRosa's, but Bradley isn't taking DeRosa's ABs. He's taking Edmonds' ABs from last year. DeRosa's ABs will be taken by Aaron Miles and whoever replaces Bradley in right when Milton gets hurt. But I do appreciate Bradley's bat - I hope he's healthy all year. Mike Fontenot says, "Hi." If Fontenot can play almost as good as he did last year we will have improved our team. We still lose DeRosa's versatility though which is huge. I still think we don't have anyone who can play backup 3B in camp.
  18. Wow. I'm not surprised by this. The right moves were made. They probably shouldn't have signed Bako from the beginning to be honest.
  19. I think this was the right move. I think Marmol was right when he said the decision was already made before spring training.
