  1. Cotts isn't going to be lasting long on this team..thankfully.
  2. He has one bad start out of three and you're getting mad at him? Jesus christ. Do you see something in his numbers the past 3 years that make you think he's an ace? He's a good pitcher but he's no ace.
  3. What? Senile Steinbrenner forced Yankee stadium attendees to endure an awful rendition of that song every freaking 7th inning stretch' date=' so instead of 7th inning stretching, and players warming up, everybody stands still and pretends to honor America. I turned a TV to YES Network to watch some baseball.[/quote'] Is it true that they kick you out if you are moving out of your seat while the song is playing?
  4. Damn it! Ludwick is the real deal. I hate to say it but Cardinals look better than ever.
  5. Guzman is about the best bullpen guy we have right now outside of Marmol No way. Ok so who is better? Heilman maybe but other than that there is noone Heilman and Gregg. Sure, Guzman has nice velocity and nice pitches but all I see out of him is runs given up. To call him the 2nd best reliever on this team is a stretch. Gregg? HAHAHA Heilman needs to learn to throw strikes just like Guz What's so funny? You honestly think Guz is better than Gregg? Stop being a homer for Guzman. His numbers in the majors have always sucked. he definitely has the ability to be a very good pitcher but until I see him putting it together in the majors I will take the proven guys like Heilman and Gregg over him.
  6. Guzman is about the best bullpen guy we have right now outside of Marmol I keep hearing that, but at some point the man should, you know, get some people out without giving up hits and walks. 7 baserunners(2 XBH) in 5.2 IP with 7 Ks And 4ER.

  9. I'm telling u it seems every time he pitches he gives up a run.
  10. Hendry is the best GM in all of baseball. Getting rid of Wuertz for a bag of balls and Wood for nothing was a great idea.
  11. What do u expect out of Cotts? He's our worst relief pitcher. He should NOT be on this team.
  12. It seems like Guzman gives up a run every time he pitches.
  13. Cedeno is garbage with an upside. Miles is just plain garbage. Upside? Yeah right. I thought the kid had potential but he's proven to be a miserable hitter. I hate Miles but I'm also glad Cedeno is gone. Considering his age, his tools, and his positive production (albeit in limited circumstances), he still has a ceiling. His likelihood of reaching that ceiling is fairly low, but that likelihood still exists. Ceiling or not the guy sucked for us. The Cubs didn't have the patience to keep him around.
  14. Cotts is another garbage player and put him in the same tier as Aaron firckin' Miles.
  15. He obviously wants to prove the Cubs wrong for trading him. If you ask me he should thank the Cubs and in particular Hendry for giving him that stupid contract and feeding his family so well for 3 years in the first place.

  17. I'm unable to watch the game. How did Patton look that inning?
  18. But he showed signs of wearing down long before he approached the 100 game mark, let alone the full season. He did, but there's a lot to adjust to and I think a full season of experience helps. Language and cultural differences obviously, but also travel. I imagine the effects of traveling across the US for 6 months v just Japan can be pretty significant. He still may tail off or fall off completely, but I think there are a number of reasons why he could improve significantly with a year of experience. I wonder if he worked on hitting the 2seamer during the offseason. Apparently, he pretty much trained almost the entire offseason. Getting a good year out of him would be huge for this offense, same goes with Fontenot.
  19. He actually looked pretty good out there for a change.
  20. Can we PLEASE stop trading with the Marlins..
