I don't see why the A's would like a bum like Vizcaino but I would like to see this trade take place. Two reasons: 1. They have 1 SS too many. 2. We have better options for the bullpen. They would be trading 1 high-priced bum for another plus they get a prospect. Hopefully it would be a low-level prospect. Just saw on MLBTR: Speaking of Crosby, Paul Sullivan of the Chicago Tribune wonders if the Cubs could work out a deal involving reliever Luis Vizcaino. Despite the $4MM owed to Vizcaino, he's not a lock for the Cubs' bullpen. We learned last week that the Cubs do not appear interested in Crosby. Yes, but they probably have better options in the bullpen too. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that some team who has SS needs might value Crosby. I just don't see th A's pursuing a Viz for Crosby swap.
