  1. I agree with you. But I'm curious as to why he didn't start up before all this book stuff which would have made the contents of the book seem mistimed.
  2. That mask Trannon has is wicked.
  3. Vincent Grier's first step has been fantastic all night. If he was a decent outside shooter, he'd be a first rounder... He does have an NBA body...
  4. For me, Louisville was on my 10 extra list before getting humiliated. They're not even close now. Seton Hall should have beaten Rutgers, too. Syracuse is probably in at this point...
  5. It will be interesting to see the clubhouse reaction when Kenny inevitably trades for him again.
  6. This Roger Clemens saga is so uninteresting.

I wouldn't mind Bargnani, seems much more developed than a lot of the Euro "projects" that ultimately fail. The upside is tremendously high and the ability to contribute in a shorter manner is appealing.
  8. Michael had to get his ass kicked by the Celtics and then by the Pistons before leading the Bulls through. There's a lot to be learned about pressure situations and you gain an incredible amount of experience in the playoffs.
  9. Conference Tourneys (well, you're out on the West coast where basketball isn't really huge like it is in the Midwest) are pretty big spectacles for TV.
  10. The fantasy playoffs are a few weeks before the actual NBA season ends. Just hope you don't have guys on great teams like the Pistons who will see their minutes drop significantly as they try and rest up for the playoffs (The Fab Five in Detroit might drop to 20-25 minutes a night).
  11. Do you think Neifi is a horrible backup middle infielder? I don't think he is. Yes. What do you expect from a backup middle infielder? His VORP was 6.6 (OK, not good) with ++ defense. I don't expect a backup MIF'er to cost 2.5 million dollars a year.
  12. I will get this done tomorrow night, way too much hw to do.
  13. I think we should allow ZZ back just so he and roast can talk music.
  14. I see Welly is already in midseason form.
  15. I had the fourth pick in the draft, round by round: Tex Prior Dunn Matsui Zito Huff Beckett Beltre Valverde Cain Mark Ellis (SS) Chris Shelton Vidro Biggio Bowyer Betancourt Craig Hansen Papelbon Hanley Ramirez David Weathers Lieberthal Brad Hawpe Kaz Matsui
  16. I'm fairly certain we could decipher a ZZ post by now. Lots of rambling, excessive use of the word "gals", andbeing contrarian for no discernable reason.
  17. I think Dee really hurt his draft status this year, but the Big Ten is just littered with mediocre individual players. I like Brunner and Dials, but when the discussion is on them for B10 player of the year, its a weak year for individuals in the conference.
  18. I love my team and set forth the plan I had from the start: steals are negatory, and saves are overrated. Please step up, Travis Bowyer, Jose Valverde, Craig Hansen, and Rafael Betancourt.
  19. Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.
  20. I don't see anything appalling in the column at all, in fact, Rogers gives credence to the notion that Wood could go on to dominate somewhere else: He didn't write anything that was inaccurate either.
  21. I laugh when people still wish Curry was still on this team. You know what Curry would make this team? A seventh seed and an easy out in the playoffs, also crippling for the future with an awful contract. I love that deal Pax made, even if it kinda hurt us this season.
  22. Can you please list numbers that show this? Woody only wishes he has posted numbers like Sheets has the last two years. Wood 2003: 14-11, 3.2 ERA, 133 ERA+, 1.19 WHIP, 2.66:1 K/BB Ratio Sheets 2004: 12-14, 2.7, 154 ERA +, .98 WHIP, over 8:1 K/BB Ratio Sheets 2005 (Nearly as good as Wood's 03), 10-9, 3.33 ERA, 127 ERA +, 1.07 WHIP, near 6:1 K/BB ratio. I'd take Sheets over Woody in half a heartbeat.
  23. Injury prone, yeah. Average, no. There's a difference between being bad, and just being injury prone. Kerry is injury prone, but not near "bad". BTW, how's Ben Sheets' latest rehab going? I'm genuinely curious since I don't know the answer, but wasn't most of Sheets' injuries last season non arm related? And Sheets is better than Wood when both are healthy, anyway.
  24. The Knicks just blow.
  25. I'd be much more worried if it was the plant knee.
