  1. I use personal feelings first (I always have a list of players that "I will not draft"), then websites, and then a couple of magazines. The only problem with magazines are that they can be pretty outdated, given they have a deadline to meet for publication. If you have access, the best I've seen is Eric Karabell at ESPN who I use very frequently. Good insight and analysis.
  2. Tex is the third best player in fantasy.
  3. Does Shelton have catcher eligibility in your league?
  4. I'm shocked anyone took him seriously the first time he said that he was retiring at season's end.
  5. Awesome
  6. Craig Wilson please. No messin around with retreads like Juan Gone, Sammy, Grissom, etc. I'd be fine with Hidalgo.
  7. 100% agree. I've yet to see any evidence from Abuck about the Cubs not offering any advice for wood.
  8. unless its a keeper league, I'd let go of Conor Jackson. Is he going to start in Zona out of Spring Training? Don't overvalue rookies either. You need a lot of help at SP. Deal Edmonds for a good starter.
  9. Actually, I'd want the Bulls to tank it (since O' Neal is out for almost the entire season, it might be a possibility anyway), and get Gordo some experience at running the point. It would be a bad transition for now, but for the future, he could be a good point guard, PLUS we could be bad enough to get a top 10 or higher pick to get someone like Morrison or Brewer. Brewer would be awesome at the back half of the lottery if we could swing him. Chandler O' Neal Deng Brewer Gordon So awesome. Flamez, you got a link for that?
  10. Not necessarily ridiculous, the Bulls are going to have a tough time being really successful with two short guards. Of course I don't think the Bulls will get good value for Gordon. i think the Bulls could get a lot for Gordon IMO. the newest rumor that I saw was Kirk Hinrich and the Knicks pick for Jermaine O'Neal. SIGN ME UP. Holy crap, that would be a sweet deal.
  11. Al Harrington= utter waste of money.
  12. A Jock and Wilson platoon could very easily produce an 800+ OPS. I think the Pirates could do a little better than Welly, though.
  13. I don't know whether to laugh at IU or feel sorry for them. What a waste of all that talent and the one year of Killer.
  14. I'd prefer it if your comments caused people to get fired. Unlikely certainly, but then you can be like Mike North (apologies for the comparison to that moron) claiming you got Dusty Baker fired. (as Pappy takes "credit" for Skiles re-upping with the Bull) That'd be a huge coup.
  15. What do Albert Pujols, Alex Rodriguez, Barry Bonds, and Adam Dunn all have in common? They all have 900+ ops' for their careers. But no you are completely right. Dunn sucks. Pffffft, by only one measly point. ;)
  16. He's not very good? This team needs a big man so badly. Songaila is a fine player off the bench. Harrington would be fine off the bench as well. But for the love of god, we need SOMEONE in the middle with Tyson. Just tank the season. Seriously. See if anyone likes Kirk Hinrich. He's really frustrating.
  17. He's gonna be one of those idiots keeping Sosa off the first ballot. I don't think he gets in. Too much perceived suspicion about roids and proof of cheating.
  18. How many big men in the Big Ten next year are any good? Butch? Pruitt? White? (if he stays in school)
  19. I think it's quite a stretch to think Oden's going to be (even arguably) the best player in the country next year. OSU wins because they are shooting ridiculously well from the outside(Foster, Butler and Sullinger are over 51% from 3 in over 230 attempts!). Foster and Sullinger(165 of those attempts) are gone next year, so they'll need those freshman to shoot well. Otherwise Oden's going to be collapsed on and they won't be very effective. They have a great shot of taking the Big 10 next year with several teams having heavy losses, plus their great influx of talent. Why is it a stretch at all? Its not a stretch to say that the best HS player in the country could be the best college player when he will just sky over everyone, while still being incredibly skilled on the offensive end to dominate inferior Big Ten post players (all of the good ones are leaving as it is). I wouldn't be shocked to see Oden average 20/10 next year.
  20. Does Larrivee get commission for saying 'dagger?'
  21. Bulls deciding to not suck again. What gives?
  22. They'll still have Butler, Ron Lewis, and Ivan Harris as role players with the Thad 5. They could be 8 or 9 deep strong next year, with arguably the best player in the country on their team.
  23. Anyone else think that Matta is gonna have that team considered a perennial powerhouse within 5 years? How he has done it, I have no idea, but he is ridiculous. Someone other than OSU better win this year, because they might not relinquish it for a long time.
  24. Sheets was pretty mediocre in 03 (I'm assuming you meant 04) And Kerry wishes he had a year like Sheets' 04. I'd MUCH rather have Sheets going here on out than Woody. Not even a doubt in my mind.
