    I love the Cavs. They were the Bulls personal You Know What's for many years. I loved smacking em around. It was like a little toy.

    Young talent develops in the NBA, both Deng and Gordon have All-Star potential, and your 3-year window is too narrow. I understand that young talent develops. But my question is to teams develop from sub .500 to championship caliber solely on the development of that young talent? I don't follow it much, and I don't really know basketball, but it seems to me like you have to either draft somebody who becomes elite, or trade/sign somebody who is elite, to have a chance in the NBA. Even Detroit had to go out and get somebody else's superstar, didn't they? That's what the Bulls have the opportunity to do, though, draft elite players. They have a potential number one this season, and when the Knicks suck really bad in 07, they might have a shot at Greg Oden. Like I said previously, give this regime three years to work with what it has.

    Atlanta's cornball stuff isn't on the field. The kiddie playland, nonsense at the gates (which are at the wrong end of the park) and cartoon characters running around like they're at Kings Island are what really pissed me off. I've never been to Detroit, but I assumed it had to be a joke of a park when I saw photos of actual carnival rides on the gounds. Perhaps you should go then. The ferris wheel and merry go round are nowhere near the playing field at all. They are secluded far away from the field on the concourse and are easily avoidable.

    It depends on the two players. If the Bulls traded Gordon and Deng plus their two first rounders for Garnett, would the resulting team be any better? Or would it be a borderline playoff team with a superstar? Seems more like the latter to me. Ford's suggested trade of Deng and the two first rounders for Garnett appeals, though. Garnett-Chandler-Noch-Gordon-Hinrich -- yep, that would work. skiles would probably play songaila over garnett in 4th quarters, though. Sulley's quest against Skiles is laughable. This team has the pieces and assets to make a run for a title in a few years.

    Jenn-Kins sounds like the weakest chant I've ever heard. And I'd still consider them bleachers if they had backs, and that's all I care about.

    Comerica is a beautiful park. Just ignore the merry go round, ferris wheel, and all the other goofy things.

    Good balance on the offensive side. Pitching is very suspect, though I do like Bonderman a lot. Chad or Frank Cordero?

    Has power become taboo in fantasy? Not enough power once again. Won't get much out of catcher, second base, and the Outfield is pretty shaky. I do like the pitching, though. My suggestion would be to try and package Livan Hernandez; he is probably one of the most overrated pitchers in fantasy baseball UNLESS you're playing in an expanded roto league format where CG's is a category. Otherwise, he can be a real drain on your WHIP (last year, he was pretty awful across the board), with a bad K/BB ratio, awful WHIP, not all that many wins, doesn't K too many people in general. He's really getting up there in age and has a LOT of innings logged in with him and is a likely candidate of mine to not really be all that good this season. Two pros about Livan, however. That park is great to pitch in (if he can stop freaking walking people) And the aforementioned CG's (if that's a roto stat in your league). Otherwise, I'd deal him in a heartbeat for someone who goes based on name alone.

    I LOVE the bleachers as well. Only thing I dislike is that there are no backs to the seats, back is usually sore at the end of the game. Get there for BP, everybody is joking around with the opposing team. I remember guys heckling the Blue Jays pitching coach last year for an autographed ball (very strange and ultimately successful) and at a Padres game, people were discussing closer situations with Trevor Hoffman and most of us were begging him to come to Chicago (this was when we still had Hawkins). If you're an opposing teams' fan, be prepared for some not so pleasant things said about the OF'ers. Some of it can be pretty crude. And if you're upset about something, there's almost no sense in saying anything to the ushers as the only thing they do in terms of manning issues is making sure you get your beer off the basket area. Enjoy!

    Assuming you're selling them at face value at all times, wouldn't the value be 188 dollars? That's not a bad price for 12 tickets to a Cub game these days... Depends on what row in UDR, though.

    Its N.L. Only. I've never played in an NL only league, but what I'd do is grab a few marginal Rockies and use them exclusively at home (Helton being the only exception).

    In an offensive vacuum, maybe. But add in positional scarcity, the running game, and defensive differences, A-Rod comes on top for me. When you factor in age and contract, Pujols comes out on top for me.

    I'm still surprised they haven't dealt one of their plethora of OF's. Huff at first, Crawford in Left, Baldelli in center, Young in right, Gomes at DH. Seems pretty simple to me :D Good point on the option clock though, I had not thought about that.

    TT, I think your offense is pretty average, while the pitching is very good. Lack a lot of power.

    I dont understand this post, since elite closers usually have better WHIP's and ERA's?? What I mean is that people overvalue saves, no matter the ramifications to the rest of the categories. The elite guys are very good, no doubt, but there are people who place too much of an emphasis on finding the flavor of the week at closer. Last year the miserable situation in Arizona probably killed many fantasy owners as Bruney, Aquino, and eventually Valverde were going through awful numbers after awful numbers. Situations like in Tampa where you really have no idea what to get. But hey, they've got saves! I'd take a relief pitcher with a 1.1 WHIP and an ERA under 3 than a closer who will save 25 games, have a WHIP over 1.4 and an ERA around 5. 1 bad WHIP guy (especially in a 5x5 league) can set you back a considerable margin.

    Is there no better second base option out there than Bill Hall? He might not play anywhere. Koskie, Hardy, Weeks, and Fielder in the IF. I'd drop him pretty quickly.

    Wisky's are so jealous of their far superior neighbors to the south. It is a great feeling.

    I agree - I want to keep Delmon as long as possible. However - in our league we can only keep players in our minors for one year - or until they make the major league club. I'm REALLY hoping Delmon makes it, but I know as of right now its 50/50. he SHOULD make it at some point to the majors this season, barring injury or total stupidity on the Rays' part.
