  1. Treeman, we always root for losers against the masses. First USC, now this :(
  2. Unbelievable finishes the last two games. WOWOWOWOWOWOW!
  3. Yep. Not true. They lost their bruiser Tyrone Salley last year. Averaged over 12 a game and was at least an interior presence for them. Edit: not really an interior presence. Shot nearly 1/2 of his shots from downtown. Shocking, I know.
  4. I'd see if I could get someone who really needs/desires a closer (Orvella) to give you a top setup man. Someone like Scot Shields, Justin Duchescher, Rafael Betancourt, etc.
  5. Tyrus Thomas is just an unreal athlete. There's no way he doesn't declare. That is just freak ability. Would I be pissed if we had to "settle" for Thomas? No way. He's gonna be awesome. That's what teams are looking for these days. Really, how many "Bruisers" are there that are huge difference makers? Big Ben? Brand? And UCLA really sucks. This is truly a pathetic performance.

He needs to lose more weight still. He'd hit a brick wall pretty quickly in the NBA.
  7. I'm curious as I do not remember, how good is Maynard on kickoffs? Was he doing them or was Gould?

I like Carney, but I think he's redundant with Deng at the three. Morrison would probably force the Bulls' hand to make a deal with one of the other guards. I'm still not opposed to Gordon running the point...
  9. What makes me think Gordon will be around for more than one year is that he doesn't have the NBA 2 body. If he were 2-3 inches taller, I'd think he'd be gone after one, maybe two years. Rose at 6' 4" is a one and done no matter where he goes. Teams will be foaming at the mouth for a point guard with his size, strength, athleticism.

someone big. Aldridge, Davis, that type. As in Paul Davis? With a lottery pick? Paul Davis is a late first rounder at best. If the Bulls were to take Davis with a lottery pick, I'd be really wondering what the hell Pax is thinking.

Derwood, who would you like to see the Bulls draft then?
  12. Rush is gone as soon as he can be. If the age limit hadn't been put in place, he would have bypassed college altogether. Thinking that Rush and Wright will stick around for the program is a fool's hope. As for Self, he can coach, but not nearly as well as he can recruit. IMO, the success he has had has been more a product of riding the talent more than brilliant coaching. And let's not forget that as good a recruiter as Self is, it's not like he has a long history of it like Coach K or Roy Williams. And if I am not mistaken, Gordon his a more highly rated recruit than any that Self brought to Champaign. Sure, that may be a product of Weber parlaying the success of Self's recruits into his own, but no more than Self building off Roy Williams' success. And UI will get back to or near 2005 level in 2008 or 2009, IMO. Especially if Weber can land Rose. Illinois has gotten a lot more press than usual in the past few years, and that is definately going to be a boon to Weber's recruiting efforts. If Gordon or Rose are as good as advertised, what makes you think they won't turn pro after one season? If you're so confident about Wright and Rush turning pro, Gordon and Rose (especially Rose since he plays a more 'in demand' position) should be just as likely to make that jump, imo.
  13. Orlando Hudson is a pretty useless player. Nice balance on the offense. Don't mind Lidge, seems like he would have been taken in an appropriate value round based on who else you have. I like your team a lot for a league that deep.
  14. I hope this ends as well as you rooting for USC against Texas. UCLA is going down tonight.
  15. I'll set the over/under on teams in that league is 6.

I don't want athletes with potential. I want ball players with proven skills How about this? He reminds me a lot of Chris Bosh.
  17. He was dealt to the Nats long ago..
  18. Mark_R

They could really use a continued tailspin. I'm also really high on Joakim Noah of Florida if he could bulk up 30 pounds or so. He's incredibly athletic and long. His athleticism would take a hit if he were to put on some weight, but he could be a real DOMINANT force down low. He has very high potential...

How many teams win anything with the entire backcourt being under 6' 3"?
  20. Mark_R

An addendum. I'm probably one of the biggest trade Kirk people on this board, but there is simply not enough minutes for Kirk, Ben, and an actual two way difference maker at the guard position. I do not mind Duhon as the primary backup to the PG spot. I know Pax and Skiles both have a huge hard on for Hinrich, but I can't help but imagine if they could mold Gordon into a point guard where his quickness may be a slight issue, but his size and strength could make up for it on both sides of the ball. I'm just thinking out of the box here...

No to Allan Ray. Why must the Bulls be cursed to undersized two guards who are just gonna kill us in individual matchups which will allow us to wallow in mediocrity forever until we get a change in drafting philosophy with regards to the concept SIZE DOES MATTER. That felt good.
  22. Was perfect today, putting me at 33-8 and a wide margin of a lead in the nsbb fantasy pick thingy on yahoo.
  23. What a fitting end to another miserable Kansas run in the tourney. Dude dribbles it off his foot. Oh god, a Patrick Sparks sighting. Has he sucked or been amazing today? There's almost no middle ground with him.
  24. I no longer care much about my bracket. Its pretty bad. I love seeing these incredible upsets.
  25. This tourney is so amazing. Kansas and Iowa losing on the same day? Its a good time to be alive.
