    I was about 15 rows back from home plate when he hit that....if you watch the video I'm the one guy in blue in th middle of the sea of red jumping up and screaming "NEIFI I WANT TO HAVE YOUR BABY!!!!". :D fixed And for the record, I said that too. I didn't know Neifi was a switch hitter... :D But for the record...I guess I'd have to say that my love of the Cubs does officially know some bounds....and its somewhere short of bearing Neifi's child.

    I know its still fairly early spring training....well...maybe not fairly early anymore...but I'd sure like to see our everyday starting line up all out there together, in the spots where they'd hit in the regular season, sometime soon....

    Not that I recall, but he looks better. His outs were solidly hit. Good to hear...I'm not too concerned about ST results, I just want him to at least look like he's seeing the ball well and taking good swings. thanks for the info....

    Is there any shot that we'll see him throw to live hitters in spring training? (note: how sad is it that I'm praying for just a spring training appearance)

    We sure are executing with men in scoring position and less then two outs this spring, be it hits, contact, or sac flys. How many runs did we leave on the bases in those situations last year? I think i counted one time in the middle of the season and we'd left like 13 runners on 3rd with less than 2 outs in just the prior week and a half....if we can do better at just that aspect of the game this year we'll be an improved team.

    Two links above the "Reading" option in the instructions above is "Notify" What Service! And for only $5 a month...if only my cable company were as reliable.

    One other request...is there any way to set the default below to never "notify me when a reply is posted"? Some times I forget to check that and will end up with tons of e-mails that i didn't really want. Thanks in advance.

I'm a proud premium subscriber and was just wondering where I could go to do such a thing...(or if I could make Goony's sig appear on all posts :D ) I just did it and it's worth it. Pages load much faster too. The only time I turn the images & avatars back on these days is when I get to spend the rare browsing time at home on broadband during the weekends (in those moments when the kids aren't tackling me). During the week I'm on the road full-time these days and I'm either seeking to be covert at the customer site or on slow hotel connections. Discretion and speed are two great advantages of turning the images off. Much appreciated. I just turned them off and it sped things up considerably...plus I can now have the message board up in my office full time and it is not "obvious" that is completely unrelated to work.

    Thats much more like it..... I'd guess we could count the number of times a Cubs pitcher had an 8 pitch inning last year on 2 hands.

    Theoretically, if Neifi keeps the other team off the bases one more time a game, and Walker gets on base one more time a game than Neifi...wouldn't it be a net wash between the two of them? With a possible edge to Neifi as the extra out would save our staff pitches which historically seems to be an issue with us. (Note, I'm not advocating Neifi...just speaking hypotheticals here)

Obviously neither is a bad choice, and whoever it is should be hired by the Cubs to work with ARam on his flexibility. Does anyone else find it amusing she would be from "dix hills"...

    Why does being a fan of this team generally feel like this :titanic: I just one time would like to come into a camp...have everyone come in on time, start throwing, pitch in real spring training games, be healthy, begin the regular season with a full staff. Is that really too much to ask?

    What about the top ten list of pickoff throws to first base. I think that's really the true indicator. Followed closely by the fake to third and then throw to first. :D

    I've found some pretty nice stuff on e-bay before for my little guy (19 months, but he wears 2t or 3t)...In fact, his grandma got him a really cool leather cubs 'letter jacket" for christmas...there are also other places...I usually just hit google and cubs infant/ cubs toddler
