  1. Worst offensive player ever is an overstatement. Worst offensive starting position player, probably, but I think Macias was probably worse, and I'm sure some others can be found. I was just going from that list that everyone was talking about the other day...I think it was cited in the Sports Guy's column...something like that...maybe on baseball prospectus...either way...it had Neifi as the worst active player and 3rd on the list for worst all time...mayb there was a "starting position player" qualification....either way...you never bunt somone over to rely on neifi to get them in.
  2. So we sacrafice with our best average hitter (to date this year) so that the all time worst offensive player in the history of baseball could get a chance to drive Pagan in....yeah...that makes sense.
  3. I love the animated ball. I like it a lot but it seems to get behind. For instance it still has Barrett up on my screen
  4. I love the animated ball. I like it a lot but it seems to get behind.
  5. Maybe we should try this hitting the ball in the air thing...it seems to be effective. Or maybe we should hit off of our pitchers...that seems to work too.
  6. Great....cause we needed Freel on base. Edit...WOW...this was my 1000 post...I was hoping for something a little more significant. :D
  7. Arroyo again off Rusch. Was that a good call or had you seen it already? Ron sounds like someone shot his dog...I know how he feels....I think Guzman or Hill could do this much more cheaply.
  8. This would be one of those days I'd like to see our guys take some pitches and make Charles Bronson throw some strikes accross the middle of the plate...fly balls seem like they'll go a long way today.
  9. For now it's AT&T Park. PacBell>>>SBC>>>AT&T I'd just call it Phone Company Park now to be safe. That would make it PCP...quite fitting considering it is in San Fransisco. :D
  10. I'd agree that the Ford Plaza was nice...the thing I didn't like about the outfield...and that ford plaza area...was that there were structures there which blocked the view of the field from there. That's my main beef with it....same thing on the lowerlevel...all the concession stands are on the inside walls so there isn't a ton of open viewing of the field from the concourses...Its a nice park...I just wasn't blown away.
  11. I know that...and took that into consideration in my assessment.
  12. So I went to opening day at the New Busch yesterday. I must say, I walked in with huget anticipatation...the outside looks spectacular, but once I got it I was kind of let down. Don't get me wrong, its better than the old place..but I've been to SBC, and Camden Yards...and the Cell...and I think its much more like the Cell...with the Cell having some advantages. Its not as "open" from the concourses as I expected it to be...its fairly difficult to get around. There are a lot of good aspects and a nice family area for toddlers which my 19 month old son enjoyed but I was expecting more. I figure there weren't to many NSBBers there...but I'd be interested in hearing everyone else's thoughts as they filter in throughout the year.
  13. All aboard.....I wish we had 3 more "crappy" players like Ronny.
  14. Anyone know how to download a link or the actual wave file? I'd really like to send it around to all my Cards Fan friends here today on their "opening Day" (I'm going by the way...I'll give a report on the new stadium when I get back)
  15. Anyone still think Ronny is Crappy? :D
  16. I'm throwing my support behind the Jacque Express! 2 walks already...that's more than Corey had last year right? I call it progress. GO Jacque...Go Cubs.
  17. I agree with you. Booing Corey was one thing...Jacque's been here all of a week...he may never turn into the player we'd all love to have out there...but I have no doubt he's going to do the best he can. To boo him not two games into the home stand...heck, not 4 games into the season, reflects very poorly on Cubs fans.
  18. "The first gay puppy reference of 2006" Good stuff.
  19. One of Hendry's guys that can catch the ball!
  20. Ron an dPat said likely double switch...Who?
