  1. I'm hoping that Hendry is a good poker player and is bluffing on Giles not being worth 3 years 21 mil.
  2. but Neifi is a better hitter from the right side than from the left
  3. We surely don't want anyone clogging the bases. no the game ends quicker with out makers and then Dusty can go fishing
  4. somebody has to make the outs
  5. He did overpay for Maddux. Why wont he overpay for Giles?
  6. I guess we can look forward to Cedeno starting 2006 in Iowa and maybe playing 2B in 2007.
  7. Is Augie available? can he play RF?
  8. Furcal is a switch hitter. Dusty likes switch hitters even if they suck. Would be better off gambling on Cedeno and spending money on pitching.
  9. March 18, Cubs/White Sox here in Tucson.
  10. Steve Garvey
  11. This is why they have the BCS, stupid pollsters putting ND with 2 losses ahead of Va Tech.
  12. If you're counting on playing Cedric Benson or Adrian Peterson, your team isn't likely playing well. my other RB's are Tatum Bell and Dom Davis.
  13. I needed him for my fantasy team. Which RB should I pick up, Benson or Peterson?
  14. okay maybe he got the steroids from Giambi
  15. maybe his test got mixed up with Giambi
  16. I pulled this from a thread back in August using the search feature: edit:link to thread A shot at what, an everyday ML player? He sure doesn't look like one to me. I see him and I see Doug Dascenzo, without the crafty mound presence. I see Adam Greenberg and I see my paperboy. He looks like he should still be in high school. Adam Greenberg has been a consistently excellent performer througout his college baseball (ACC rookie of the year, All ACC, first team All-american, etc....) and minor league career. I have a feeling he will someday remind us of a david ecstein in the outfield. Tremendously scrappy player that should make an excellent fourth outfielder with defense, speed, and a good eye, but little to no power.
  17. I'd rather root for those youngsters than Furcal, Damon or Pierre.
  18. viewtopic.php?p=690141&highlight=#690141
  19. I am hoping for Nomar to be signed to play SS and Cedeno to backup SS, 2B, 3B (Nomar moves back to 3B) and Giles for RF. I have heard that Arizona is shopping for a starting catcher and prefer to trade Glaus.
  20. I think he is saying that Murton should be our starting leftfielder next year. I could be misinterpreting what he is saying though. Exactly. Matt Murton = Cubs 2006 starting LFer means exactly what it says. Matt Murton should be the Cubs starting left fielder for 2006. LF is short for both Left Fielder and Left Field. It's like RBI stands for runs batted in and run batted in, RBIs doesn't make sense either.
  21. And apparently all of us don't fully understand grammar, either. Than or Then? oops, good thing Sox fans can't read
  22. NOT! my aunt uncle and cousins are Sox fans, they grew up on the southside before it got too bad. They all moved out to the 'burbs except one who works for the city and lives where all the city workers live. They all complain about the new Sox park and miss old Comiskey, they actually go to games. My mom is just a bandwagon fan. I am having a hard time feeling happy for them but I guess I am just a bit.
  23. good thing they took in in 4 because Sox fans can't count higher then that
  24. maybe I should head over to TEP (Tucson Electric Park) to see if there are any Sox fans there.
