  1. I say let the youngsters play. That's why they are called the Cubs.
  2. Pierre Murton Lee Ramirez Jones Barrett Walker Cedeno something like that. Ramirez' leg problems were probably the reason he batted 5th last year.
  3. I think the Prizm's had Toyota engines in them. I'm certainly not surprised it has 225k and is still running. Yes they did. the Prizm was just a rebadged Corrolla. Now they have the Pontiac Vibe/Toyota Matrix that are the same base car.
  4. What did the Chargers get when they traded thier first picks (in 2001 and 2004)?
  5. probably means he can't get treatment/rehab for past injuries in Dominican. I have heard rumors that some players will spend their mornings at the dentist during spring training to fix their problem teeth.
  6. ha ha the whole USC band is wearing sunglasses
  7. Matt Jones was drafted as a WR in the first round last year and he played QB in college. Antoine Randall El played QB in college. Urlacher was a safety in college. Robinson played some WR when Mills was the QB at Penn State.
  8. and how about that Montreal Canadians logo. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/9/99/Montreal_Canadiens.gif http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montreal_Canadians
  9. I like going to HoHoKam for at least one game so I can get some regular season schedules. I have been to Tucson Electric Park for Minor League games. The company I work for has a skybox for the Sidewinders. They also have dollar beer night every Thursday home game.
  10. if he would have kept running he might have had that
  11. it is the Orange Bowl
  12. PSLs and all that go with it suck, but why would you get season tickets but not be "excited about going to a game in mid January?" I'd have a tough time feeling sorry for somebody who went through the effort of getting the PSLs but chose not to buy playoff tickets because it's too cold in January. probably largely due to Sunday night game against Atlanta. It was cold and nephew said that the restrooms were packed but no one was using them. Again, if you're buying Bears seasons tickets, you have to be aware of the chance you'll be attending a cold game. If they host a playoff game, you've got to go. Thinking about not attending because it's too cold is one of the weakest excuses I could imagine. If you're financial situation, health or child's health was in dire straits, then you make them available to a friend or family member, or maybe scalp them. Other than that there is no excuse. Yeah he has to go but he doesn't have to be excited about it. I am sure that some PSL owners didn't budget playoff tickets and would prefer not to have credit card debt in lieu of going to the game.

  14. This is the first playoff appearance in the new stadium. People who bought PSL's are forced to buy playoff tickets or lose their PSL. My brother in law has 2 PSL seats but isn't excited about going to a game in mid January. The non-PSL season ticket holders aren't required to buy playoff tickets and they aren't in danger of losing season ticket priority. Their might be a secondary market for these PSL tickets.
  15. Didn't Fitzgerald leave after his sophmore year? There was some loophole that allowed him to enter the draft. I think he went to a prep school for his senior year.
  16. At least Macias didn't use up 2 roster spots.
  17. http://espn-i.starwave.com/media/apphoto/PNS12401030125.jpg
  18. maybe they just call it southern hospitality. Purdue played 2 bowl games against Georgia, both decided by the refs.
  19. Georgia is in the SEC (pay off the refs).
  20. 2 hours? Did you take the freeway? Tuscon and Phoenix are only 111 miles apart. The speed limit is 75 mph for most of the way and traffic is moving faster than that. I'd say it's about 120 miles from TEP to HoHoKam. The RV's that old people are driving slow the traffic down a bit on I-10.
  21. package deal might be good for last minute. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/spring_training/y2006/schedule.jsp?c_id=chc I plan on going to the March 18th game here in Tucson. I usually rent from National because they offer a nice discount from my employer. Hotels near ASU are nice because there are bars nearby. There is free parking near Hohokam if you are willing to walk a bit. stay away from any hotel near the airport.
  22. 36 ) Dempster will start the season as closer and the bullpen will be loose from his jokes.
  23. You shouldn't question Parcells like that. they were looking to pass on 4th down
  24. It was funny, just as they went to interview her, my affiliate lost the audio, so we didn't have to listen to her. same here no sound
