    in '04 if Wood/Prior stayed healthy then they would have made the playoffs. If Hawkins hadn't been the closer they would have made the playoffs. '03-'04 was the window. Now it's time to rebuild, youth movement

    unfortunately Dusty would need a 90 loss season last place finish to get fired. If the fans stop buying tickets maybe they'll make a change. They really need a GM that understands OBP and patience at the plate. I think it's too late for this season. Someone should be fired.

    Corey Patterson- should they have kept him around? He's been turning it on lately but he was horrible in 2005. Todd Walker- Grudz was the starting 2B in 2004 some say Walker is better than Grudz Sammy- walked out of last game, begged for a trade Alou- old and has spent time on the DL the last 2 years Nomar- Started the season with Alex Gonzalez at SS. Ramon Martinez played a lot of SS. Picked up Neifi because Nomar couldn't play everyday. Did get Murton in the trade. But he is the reason we signed Neifi. Lee, Ramirez and Barrett are the 3 constants. Pierre- I wasn't a fan of the trade. They went with speed and stolen bases at leadoff but forgot about OBP. Jones- I wasn't a fan of the signing. Would have been better off with Corey in RF. Murton and Cedeno- I say let the kids play they don't suck.

    I have heard of ambidextrous twins who would share gloves. One would pitch the other would play 3B and they had a glove for each hand between them.

    he's in there for his defense. The question is why didn't opposing managers bring in a lefty when he came up and hit a homer late in the game? Dusty should give him a toothpick to use against lefties.

    Incomplete, depth on defense isn't a bad thing. The offense had some injuries last year, remember?

    There have been a few offensive lineman who died during/after practice. But that's football. Wasn't there a player who died in Pheonix area during the offseason (Arizona Fall League) from the Reds. Dernell Stenson

    how is your league set up? Is there a salary cap? Manny is getting older and could get hurt. Dynasty league usually means that you can keep all your players or drop players and draft from the pool of available players. Also if steals is a category weighed equally with HR then Pierre has value. As commisioner you can't veto any trade just because it's not equal value for value. You have to let Bowden be Bowden. The only reason you should veto a trade is if you suspect collusion and this is mostly valid for money leagues where 2 teams can agree to split the winnings under the table. This probably should be moved to fantasy discussions.

    Didn't we already trade for him 2 years ago? Can we trade him to LA for Nomar?

    I am not sure if I like the right side defense of Walker and Clark. His contract is decent so he could be traded at the deadline.

    Sidewinders/Sacramento River Cats. Is there anyone I should know about? Carlos Quinton, Scott Hairston, Stephen Drew, and Casey Daigle are the guys I heard of on the Sidewinders. What about Sacramento?

    I drafted Dunn for 1B but when my OF draft didn't turn out as planned I drafted Nomar for 1B. I would like to bench Winn, move Dunn to OF then Nomar to 1B but I have to wait until he is eligible.     I have Nomar as my Util now. I planned to play him at first but I have Dunn at first now. I can move Dunn to the outfield (currently Winn/Alou/Sizemore) Nomar to first when he becomes eligible if I want. I like the flexiblity because then I can just pick up a hot hitter for Util and plug him in there.
