  1. pretty much any punt return that goes for more than 10 yards can be a holding, clipping penalty if the refs see it.
  2. Can Vasher return punts?
  3. Why pass at the 1? I have Tom Jones on my fanstasy team and can use 6 points.
  4. Cubs 2006 Tentative Spring Training Schedule I am planning on going to the March 18th game here in Tucson against the White Sox.
  5. I have always thought that Buffalo New York would be a good place for a team. It's near a summer tourist area (Niagra Falls). They have other major sports teams. They could name them the New York Knights. It might be too close to Toronto.
  6. Regarding academics that is one of the reasons ND will never join. The Big 10 often does joint research, and with the religious nature of ND's research it would either a) limit their ability to do what they want with research b) involve the other schools in research they are not interested in doing. This was one of the main reasons given by the University a few years ago when the Big 10 invited ND. That plus the alumni funding. Since ND is funded mainly by the alumni the school often makes efforts to schedule games where a large fan base can see them play. A conference affiliation would take away from that ability. Those are just two of many reasons, but they are largely non-football, so I thought I would throw them out there. Just a tidbit of interesting info. Many, many, many years ago ND attempted to join the Big 10, but was denied in large due to Fielding Yost and his hatred for ND. There's one reason---and one reason only---that Notre Dame does not join the Big Ten: NBC TV money. Well that's no secret. Don't have to split their bowl revenue 12 ways either (though when 6 or 7 Big Ten teams make it to bowls, everyone does alright in the end) But ND did take a huge hit on the bowl revenue with the new BCS contract in effect after this year. Most reasons due center around the fact that they simply don't need to join a conference. I am not too sure about PSU or Miami when they joined, but I don't really think they did either. Does anyone know why they did join thei Big 10/East? Anyway I was trying to provide some reasons that are not football related, since there is more than FB to ND :D It is only about football because they are in the Big East for every other sport. They would have to pay a penalty to get out of the Big East contract. The Big Ten isn't going to accept them for football only.
  7. Man, I could watch that return all day. There are some of us who do. We should form a support group. Reminds me of Rosie Colvin returning a blocked FG for a TD while at Purdue. link I watch that one every year.
  8. The Arizona-Arizona State game is on Friday. Kind of a neat tradition of playing the day after Thanksgiving every year. ASU needs a win to become bowl eligible.
  9. I'm sick of having this discussion, so all I will say is that if you really don't think Notre Dame would look as good or better if they switched schedules with Fresno, then you are either absurdly anti-Notre Dame or probably don't know much about football. then quit bring the subject up this isn't a Noter Dame message board
  10. white logitech optical mouse black logitech optical mouse not bad for 7 bucks
  11. how about Murton in CF and Dunn in LF?

  13. I thought that a Div 1AA can count as a win to be bowl eligible but not every year. They can use that win only one every 3-4 years or something like that. http://www.sportscurmudgeon.com/archives/sc872.html
  14. A Notre Dame -Ohio State matchup would be fine with me. I like watching Notre Dame lose.
  15. The day that a team does anything with Jerry Hairston Jr batting 5th is the day I sprout four more limbs. you could swap barrett and Hairston. maybe even move hairston after murton. The biggest hole is RF. Giles would fill that hole but Hendry likes Furcal and likes to shop for blue light specials at Kmart so Giles probably wont happen.
  16. They can sign Jerry Rice.
  17. could just leave team as is: SS cedeno 2B walker 1B lee 3B ramirez RF Hairston C barrett LF murton CF patterson
  18. I have Tom Jones on my fantasy team so I hope he plays. I picked up Benson and started him this week. I had Grossman on my fantasy team last year and started him because my starter was on bye the week he hurt his knee against the Viqueens. I did win my fastasy matchup this week because my opponent started the 49ers kicker. Thank you wind.
  19. It's rivalry week: Purdue at Indiana Utah at BYU Oregon State at #10 Oregon #8 Alabama at #11 Auburn Washington State at Washington
  20. And go winless in the Big Ten? The all-blue combo they had against the Packers on MNF a couple of years ago wasn't that bad, but that was just a different combination. There really isn't a reason to use alternate jerseys when they're not throwbacks. oh and orange helmets
  21. they should try blue jerseys and orange pants.
  22. http://images.rottentomatoes.com/images/movie/coverv/88/210388_thumb.jpg
  23. What he said. Name the last time Hendry traded the best prospect in the organization and got fleeced. (no, the Dontrelle trade does not qualify) he just waits until they become worthless
  24. Signing Furcal makes Walker's lefty bat less needed, but who's gonna play RF and CF everyday?
