  1. From what I've read, next year is going to be one of Stevens' most talented teams. They bring everyone back but Nored (who can't really play offense), add Rotnei Clarke and a top 150 guy with a solid class for their level overall. I don't think he's going anywhere. Of the guys that would make at least some sense to move to Illinois, I'd look at Grant, Kevin Stallings, Buzz Williams, Randy Bennett, Gregg Marshall. I think all would be safer than Smart with the exception of Bennett. They should be much better next year. Hopkins will be back, Smeathers, imo, is underrated, and Kellen Dunham is very, very good. I'm not saying he'll never leave, but he has a whole lot of reasons to stay.
  2. It will take a team like North Carolina or Michigan State, with frontline depth and a veteran presence to beat them. That team is so difficult to run an offense against. If Teague makes jump shots, they are a prohibitive favorite, imo.
  3. Serious question: how [expletive] old are you? What are you wearing? A feather duster and a [expletive] eating grin. Why? The point makes itself.

  5. Eh, they played well until the last 5 minutes of the Penn St. game. Minnesota was just an odd game. The Gophers definitely wanted it more and got to every loose ball. IU also inexplicably couldn't knock down shots at home. The game in Columbus was going to be a loss either way, wish it wasn't as bad as it was, but they also smothered IU defensively which we weren't prepared to deal with. I think they get back on track. I'm telling you man, Tom Crean must start feeding his team rat poison after about 5 Big Ten games each season. They just fall to [expletive] all of a sudden. And they never really had a truly dominant grip on that PSU game. It just isn't the same IU team now. It's not like it gets a lot easier from here, either. At this point 20-11 looks shaky, and that includes the cupcake thrown in between @ Iowa and @ Minny. This season just got a whole lot uglier.
  6. Worst, most frustrating loss I can remember. I only came here so you guys can rub it in and say all the awful things that I can't seem to come up with on my own. I hate this team right now.
  7. I think the thing I like best about this team is how they share the ball/make the extra pass. Granted, this was a team they should be expected to beat like a drum, but it's nice to see the unselfish play continue even with a huge lead. 12-0 is nice, but the real season, as they say, starts next week. They are far ahead of where I expected before the year started.
  8. Not that they will be needed, but Derek Elston and Will Sheehey out for IU on Thursday. Elston had surgery for a broken nose and Sheehey apparently has an ankle issue. Those B1G openers just got a whole lot tougher, especially if Sheehey is going to miss significant time.
  9. Lots of cool ideas here. I really want to go to the Tour de France as well.
  10. I think that Parker info is incorrect. I don't think he will be there this weekend. ETA: you probably know this, but official visits can't take place until the senior year, so any visit by a 2013 or younger this year is unofficial, ie, the school cannot pay for expenses.
  11. Dekker is a really nice player. He's pretty different from Luer, though. He's not as big, plays much better with the ball, and is bouncy as hell. I saw him vs. Gary Harris and D3 at the adidas May Classic (on a team with JP Tokoto, among others) and he looked to me to be the best player on his team.
  12. Disagree. They're wonderful. Helmets are ugly, but uniforms are great. BTW, IU is going to lose to freaking Ball State. Can we just not talk about that? 6 weeks until Hoosier Hysteria... Yes, Indiana basketball has certainly been a pick-me-up the past few years. You're late. I was wondering where you'd been.
  13. Boise has great tempo right now. Moore is so accurate when he has time.

  15. [-( Young man has some serious issues.
  16. Michigan recruit Austin Hatch is in ICU after surviving a plane crash. His parents were both killed. Unbelievably sad story. In 2003 His family was in a plane crash, killing his younger siblings and his mother. I cannot imagine going through something like this. Thoughts and prayers to the family. Link
  17. I like him a lot as a good kid and an extremely hard worker, but I totally agree with this. He's just too small to be real successful at the Big 10 level with his skill set, imo. Too bad, because he's a lot of fun to watch. I think he could be very good at a mid-major, though.
  18. Four star PG Jalen James (2013) to Illinois. Nice pickup for the Illini. Jalen James
  19. LOL, yep. He's hammered. He can afford the fine.
  20. Happy Memorial Day, Columbus.
  21. Edit: What he said. Bobby Capobianco, aka the Vanilla Gorilla, is leaving IU. No real surprise here. I would expect one more transfer before the summer is over.
  22. He's a kid who made a mistake. He'll be back. =D> Or not. Ron's going back to Indiana Elite One, the team he was on last year. There is a slim possibility that Gary Harris will join Indiana Elite/ Team Indiana in Las Vegas this summer.
