  1. Speaking of looking up, what league has 2 of the top 3 teams?
  2. All I can think of is Gary Giaetti (sp) and Ron Cey.
  3. 3.65 the last 2 years, 3.64 career. That was 95th among qualified hitters. 95th best or 95th worst? Oh yeah, thanks! 95th of 148 Is that with 450 AB's or more or whatever it takes to be eligible to win the batting title? 95th isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.

  5. Speaking of the 40 man, what are the Cubs at right now?
  6. What were Soriano's pitches per AB last year?
  7. Hendry has gone Blue Jay crazy. The Jays also have been a pretty toolsy organization with the only difference being they had more quality young players and actually played them.
  8. Who said Dusty can't recruit quality free agents? You're the man Johnny B!!!
  9. Make sure you take your blood pressure meds before each game then.
  10. He'll be a junior next year right? I can't imagine that he would stay at Ohio State and be a back up until his Senior year because no way is he going to beat out Smith. Unless Smith gets caught accepting 1000 dollars of course and has to sit out another half a game. Of course I'd take him if he came here. Our QB's were so bad they couldn't even throw to the other team.
  11. The flaw in this comparison is Troy Smith did not play against Texas. Not only that but lately OSU installed more of a spread offense. What you saw yesterday was not the same team that Texas saw the first game. ND's defense did get whooped worse by OSU offense than they did USC's. Texas has as good an offense as OSU. They should score some against USC defense. What QB played for Ohio State? Justin Zwick. (he sucks) Wasn't he suppose to be the next great QB? I thought he was one of those big recruits that threw for 1 million TD passes that picked Ohio State?
  12. I wonder if Hendry is going to sign Dunston and Joe Carter to minor league deals too.

  14. Musburger gets an idea in his head in the beginning of every game he does and harps on it the whole game long. He's done that for years. I also thinks this exposes how good Penn State and Texas are.
  15. I don't know what kind of footwear he had on. But if you watch the replay, the injury was not the result of a tackle. His foot got caught in the grass, turned, and the injury resulted. Will he be ok for next year? How's the recruiting going so far?
  16. Do you really think the Mets would deal Diaz for Walker? Does Omar covet Walker that much? I really doubt it, but they do want to get rid of Kaz. And the OF is still somewhat cluttered. I could see them dealing Diaz if they end up with Manny, or I could see them dealing him if they could get some pitching in return. Diaz had somewhat of a disappointing season in 2005. He was sent down for a month and a half, and didn't do any better upon his return. In the NY media and many fans eyes, he is way down the ladder in terms of importance to the team, with an obvious fixation on bigger names. Reyes and Wright are the focus as far as youth in concerned, while Delgado, Beltran and Floyd are the big bats they are counting on to complement the youth. If you took back Matsui, and gave them a 2B they could count on for the season, then I think you could start talking about Diaz if you threw something else into the mix. They like him, but they aren't in love with him. I don't see the Cubs as being interested in Matsui in any way. They are trying to move Walker to help clear out room at that spot so I'd really doubt they would want an overpayed guy to take his place. Interesting info on Diaz. If the Mets don't get Manny would they still have any urge to still move Diaz?
  17. This whole subject just frustrates the heck out of me. I swear sometimes it seems this organization wants to lose.
  18. Hunter Cantwell did a great job for Louisville...he's about as tough as they come. What a way to step up in a pressure situation. And Marcus Vick is a punk with absolutely no class. How can everyone in the world see him stomp his cleat into Dumervil's calf but none of the officials did? What a loser...... He just got out of prison so maybe he thought Dumervil was going to take his smokes? I can't believe Syracuse knocked your QB out for the year. :x Well, I forgive Syracuse....but not the turf...that's what happened to Broehm. His cleat got stuck and that's when he twisted his knee... Was he wearing cleats instead of turf shoes like CPatt said?
  19. The way I see it, Texas's defense stands a much better shot of stopping USC's offense than the other way around. USC has been giving up points all year long, and for all the talk about the O at USC, Texas puts up points like no other. I agree. I see a big Texas win.
  20. No way would they call up Fontenot or Theriot when the Enrique Wilsons are out there to be signed. Speak his mind about what is really going on.
  21. Didnt they say Neifi was only back-up when he signed in 2004? ... I dont really expect one of Dusty's boys to only get the back-up. How can Grissom be one of Dusty's boys when he's never played for him? Macias and Hollandsworth had never played for Dusty either... Websters Dustinary: Dusty Boy-A player past his prime that gets way too much playing time
  22. Do you really think the Mets would deal Diaz for Walker? Does Omar covet Walker that much?
  23. I surprised more of the analysts are not talking about the USC/ND and Texas/Ohio St comparisons. Both of those games were pretty close and Texas winning in Columbus is a pretty tough task. I have a funny feeling Texas will match up pretty well with USC and may win by more than 10.
