  1. So is Jennie Finch pitching the 4th game?
  2. That's me too except that I have college Hoops ahead of hockey.
  3. I'm surprised that the NHL doesn't start the season with the original 6 all playing the opening games. Detroit vs Chicago NY vs Boston Montreal vs Toronto And then a full schedule after that.
  4. Well I'm sure they are still screaming and going crazy when you lose, only it's at Fulmer instead!
  5. So long as there are polls, there will be a preference toward the big names. But, North Carolina is slightly better than terrible because they have Butch Davis. I agree that Davis will make them better. They are competiteve, except for a 37-10 at the hands of SFlor. Speaking of states with talent, I wonder where all the NC kids have gone of late? No NC team has been that good lately and the ACC teams haven't really shined in the past few years either.
  6. Someone tell me how VTech continues to move up? They beat a terrible NC team at home 17-10 and move up? Again, it has to be the name game.
  7. I don't know because they can always get some northern kids to come and fill out their rosters in Florida too due to the weather and winning programs. They mentioned during one game the amount of D1 scholarships that state and it was a pretty big number.
  8. agree on both items...it's amazing how quickly South Florida became a strong program. They have a plethora of talent in Florida. Add to that the Florida St and Miami struggles...plus the overrated kids that go to the Big 3...and the chance to play right away and you have a nice little program. Central Florida is pretty good too. One of the best things Central Florida ever did was hire George O'Leary to coach them. He's a very good coach and I had a feeling they'd get much better under him. I agree and if he stays just add another pain in the neck Florida team onto the scene. He was a HS coach here at Liverpool and had Tim Green on his team.
  9. That makes too much sense. Shhhh...I'm going to delete this if you guys speak about this too loudly. Let sleeping dogs lie will you please! Go Dusty!
  10. Make it happen O_O. Who do I look like, Jim Hendry? 8-[ I figured you had him trapped in that can since the Trax trade and had full control.
  11. How about "I'm here for the beer"? That ought to be the steriotypical type of sign many would expect and Buck would get a woody showing time and time again.

  13. Fiver, I want to thank you and your team for reviving college football for me. With Florida's loss, Tennessee has a much undeserved second chance to win the East and take a shot at the impossible (beating LSU). I am indebted to Auburn until the next time ya'll beat Tennessee in the SEC Championship game. :D I wonder if Auburn playing a very tough schedule had a part to do with this? They did match up well against Florida. Dew, Do you know when Auburn and Tennessee resume their series? That's always a fun game too. Cuse, I'm sure playing South Florida instead of a patsy earlier in the year did help some of the of underclassmen get better. Truly, Auburn should have won the game against South Florida. Five of their drives were stopped short because of three lost fumbles by Fannin and two interceptions by Cox. If Auburn had prevented even one of those turnovers, the end result of the game "could have/should have" been different. South Florida didn't make mistakes...zero turnovers in that game. Auburn isn't as bad as they looked earlier this year, but I'm pretty sure they aren't as good as they looked against Florida either. Add KState to that too. SFlor made WV turn the ball over also so maybe they had something to do with that and not just the offenses malfunctioning.
  14. Dusty might be going home. I'll be happy for the dude if it happens.
  15. Chris Young, Eric Byrnes, Stephen Drew, Conor Jackson, Augie Ojeda, Justin Upton, Chad Tracy, Chris Snyder... Yeah, I have no idea how they produce offense. Of course, now that I say that, it'll probably be Chris Young that kills the Cubs. That'd be a shame. Larry should know how to have his pitchers pitch to Chris Young by now. You can tell them Raisin but Larry can't put the ball in those spots.
  16. I can pretty much remember every loss that I've had as a coach and how it happened. Me too, couldn't tell you the order of my kids for the three state titles in CC but I can for the loss four years ago. Cuse are we the oldies on this website? Could you make that print a little bigger, I couldn't read what you wrote? I ain't old, but I'm sure we're in the top 10 percent age wise on this site. Fred might be the oldest as he often said he played ball with Jesus. And let me tell you this, you think Randolph is getting crucified in the press, he hasn't got a thing over the big man when he made an error that cost Nazareth the game against Rome.
  17. Stephen Drew. Already hate the guy for some reason, and he certainly has breakout superstar potential, so yeah him. Well I hope he breaks out with acne instead of hitting 550!
  18. Holy heck bukie...ones bad enough! I hope Arizona plays tight but I have this weird feeling it'll be the Cubs that do so instead.
  19. The Illini are pretty fast so imo if they jump out to a lead, they might take this but if Wisconsin can get ahead run...use some play action passes Illinois will be in trouble. I'm not really impressed with either teams D though so turnovers may end up deciding it.
  20. So who has the potential to be the Steve Garvey/Will Clark/Rodriguez for the Diamondbacks?
  21. I think Lou gave them a trial run and is smart enough to know what to do during the playoffs. I really believe he used that 2 game lead like a mulligan.
  22. He's not on there because there is no A+++++++ Only Ralphie gets those.
  23. The NFL's still got college football beat in my mind. The Titans are inspiring far more confidence than the Vols right now. I'll take college football in a micro second and my team is terrible.
