  1. According to MLB: Wed and Thurs: 10pm ET Sat: 6pm ET Sun: 1pm ET Tues: 10pm ET Wow, I can see every game.
  2. $300 million will come in the first 5 seconds of the broadcast. The others will follow Bartman and the Goat. Get ready to see goats running across your screen at every break in the action. You know the networks will do everything they can to play up the curse. Stupid network idiots. Yeah, I'm ready for some really good stuff that they've shown countless times Besides, I always thought once the Cubs signed a Pagan they would have rid themselves of the goat curse.
  3. I always hoped he'd retire and be a barber in North Carolina. If Charlotte only had a team for him to play on first. I'd be surprised if another NL team signed him but I also thought that this year too.
  4. I don't disagree. I think we deserve it more than anyone else on the planet, I really really do. Oh -- I agree, I hope they win it for your son so he doesn't have to live in frustration like we have had to. How about all the starving children in China? Do we deserve a WS more than they do food? And all that lead they have to eat, yuk.
  5. He is what he has always been. Mr. Hendry over payed and I have to hope for years like this one until year 4 or so. I don't think he'll do that well past that.
  6. 17 is a lot of money for a guy with his numbers though. At CF he's cost effective but I'm not sure he is at Right.
  7. If Vance can't get tickets, no mere human can.
  8. Oh God help us all! What does Joe say? One pump of his arm says yes and two pumps mean no.
  9. Id much rather see at least the Wensday start be at 8:30 est instead of 10:30. So at least I get some sleep 1 night. I get up at 5 am for work lol Im gonna be a walking zombie by Friday morning if both games start at 10:30 est. Well I'm gonna say Phil is wrong. Here's Wednesday's TBS schedule... http://www.tbs.com/schedule/0,,2110307,00.html The last game starts at 8:30est/7:30cst per that schedule. So now I have to hope for Trax to make the playoff roster so it would be around the 2nd inning when I get home at 10:30.
  10. I think sacrilege is just outside of Oswego which isn't really that far from Chicago. I think Lou gave Blanco a chance at first and saw all he needed to see. If he has 3 catchers on the roster he better not need a guy off the bench because it would be one shallow one indeed. I hope that Lou is smarter than that.
  11. You're Bruin all the way Raisin! Well except for the Bull thing at the end.
  12. I always thought Daley was a big time Sox fan? Is Bernie Mac going to sing the 7th inning stretch again too? Yikes.
  13. I think Gooneys Place should be just as good as any. He has cheap food and a big screen TV too.
  14. Just imagine if Dusty were managing us this year. He's probably call Dave Veres and ask him to pitch. If Dusty were the manager they'd all be fishing right now.
  15. And if he's up or behind in the count the Cubs fall behind early. Plus, if he's too rested wouldn't that make him too strong and isn't that usually a bad thing for a sinkerball guy?
  16. Shouldn't those games start at 9:35 instead? I know a lot of you might not like the late start but for once it works for me!
  17. I've heard the rumors - they are asking for Kemp, LaRoche AND Kershaw. I'd tell the Twins to go jump off a cliff. Can't hurt to ask unless the Twins take it literally and do jump of a cliff. This young man could create quite the bidding war. I would tell them to take a hike also but will Colleti. Jeff Kent of all people is infuencing decisions from the owner. If I was a Dodger fan I would be real nervous about this. Also as good as Santana is he is going to be overvalued in a trade, where as Kemp is going to be undervalued. Probably but that's when the buy high/low thing takes effect. If Kemp can be taken for a song, I'd go for it. I just see Santana as a major force in the trade market and the teams with the quality young guys are the ones that may possible overpay or get a steal depending on how the young guys turn out. Arizona might be a player in this too. Teams with good young talent would be wise to get involved but the price might get too high, imo, even if you can extend Santana. I think the Yankees will get him, Arizona, LA and Anaheim are possibilities too with their young talent. Do the Yanks have young talent to give up? I'd go for Cano and their top young guy pitcher (I can't recall his name not wang ) just to start.

I think having control of Kemp and Kershaw in the pre-arbi years is far more valuable than what they'd pay for Santana. Hell, Kershaw could end up being a better pitcher than Santana. imo it's hard to judge how good a Dodger pitcher is due to that park.

  20. If Beltran can't play CF then all bets are off. I hope Pie steps up next year and just takes off from there. We're due one hitting prospect to do that after this long of a time.
  21. Because Bettman is a dip. The schedule is so screwed up I think the Wings only played NY, Boston, Montreal and Toronto 1 time a piece last year. Yet they played the Columbus Blue Jackets 8 times. Yeah, I'd like to see the Wings come to Ottawa a couple of times a year. Every time they go there it's always the worst time for me.
  22. As much as I like Marshall, I think Z on 3 days rest and Lilly on normal rest (potential games 4 and 5) >> fresh Marshall and Z on normal rest. Yeah, I could buy into that too.
  23. Well you could go with "Hell has froze over" or the Mastercard theme of: White Sox out team salary Cards out " " Cubs in priceless Or: Pokemon theme: "Z attack...now your baseball team is asleep" And then use your Jones attack to daze and confuse. While finishing with the Soto flurry of punches.
