  1. I still love Big Jorge!
  2. That guy probably just “ball boy’d” his last game.
  3. Slather some mayo on Sammy Sofa cuz he’s on a roll!
  4. 3.5 The over/under on the # of HRs the buck ninety-eight hitting Chris Carpenter hits this series. What say you?
  5. Former punter Pat McAfee just gave one of the best selection monologues of the draft, repping the Colts.
  6. Saw the play from Sox broadcast. Looks to be his ankle, not knee. He walked off the field with a slight limp.
  7. Milos Mikolas seems to have remembered that he Milos Mikolas. Or the rest of the league did, unlike last year.
  8. Mark Prior Unbelievable college talent and a top draft pick Tore up minor leagues Phenomenal in first couple of big league seasons Flukey injury running the bases Shoulder not quite right Never the same player as before the injury Kris Bryant Unbelievable college talent and a top draft pick Tore up minor leagues Phenomenal in first couple of big league seasons Flukey injury running the bases Shoulder not quite right Never the same player as before the injury Towel Drill Time, Kris.
  9. Theo has a history of being poor with FA signings.
  10. The problem with the Cubs last year and the first month of this season are NOT as Schwarber, Almora, Happ, Contreras, Heyward, Darvish, Quintana, Edwards, Morrow or anyone else not named Bryzzo. Those guys are the fuel of the offense that runs everything else and has a huge impact on the other players. If they do their jobs simultaneously, it makes every other spot on the team better, including the pitching. Because, in general, it’s easier to pitch with a lead, especially a big lead. As Bryzzo goes, so go the Cubs. It’s that simple.
  11. For drafting him? Or for not trading him when his value was high? Or for not trading him not that his value is lowered? Or some other reason?
  12. So that's an earned run that should be unearned, right? Cuz then ca't assume the double play?
  13. Drop: Ian Desmond (COL) $75 Add: Tim Beckham (SEA) $25
  14. Chris Davis snaps his 0 for fifty something with a 2-out RBI, broken bat single in the first against Boston.
  15. He’s going to have to hit at JD Martinez levels to carry and crazy value I’m going to miss having. He’s more likely a ~2 win guy most of his career. But Steve Stone....?
  16. So the Dodgers will have the #1 seed come October then, right?
  17. He’s only 22 with 3 weeks in the MLB. Plus, Steve Stone said he wasn’t gonna be a star. Steve said he’s gonna be a superstar. So there’s that.
  18. Dinger #2 tonight. And both were no doubters. Oh well, At least Q had a nice start.
  19. Not certain how it works in baseball as opposed to football. But without making a trade, where can the Cubs get a catcher from other than their own minor league system? Independent leagues? Do players/veterans with a certain amount of service time have the option to sign with another team’s 40 man roster if they aren’t on their current team’s 40 man? Just wondering who might even be available without having to make a trade.
  20. Wonder if years from now I’ll remember where I was when Eloy hit the first HR of his career.
  21. Watching KB makes me sad. Watching Rizzo makes me sad. Watching Willy makes me sad. Watching The Professor makes me sad. Watching Carl makes me sad. Watching Q makes me sad, despite tonight’s pitching. Oh, almost forgot. Watching Hayward makes me sad. Because the last two weeks are closer to what the Cubs thought they’d be getting for 5-6 years beginning in ‘16. And it’s even sadder to know the regression to his Cubs’ norm is jus5 around the bend.
  22. So the Cubs picked up two games on the VBs in the past four days. Yay.
  23. Watching KB makes me sad. Watching Rizzo makes me sad. Watching Willy makes me sad. Watching The Professor makes me sad. Watching Carl makes me sad. Watching Q makes me sad, despite tonight’s pitching.
