Kirby has only pitched in 5 games this year. Allowed 11 ER in first two outings of the season (8.1 innings), but has been really good the next three.

I really think Counsell likes the L-R-L-R-L thing in the lineup. And I don't think he wants to bat Busch lower than 6. So the options in the five hole aren't that great. So it's Dansby, Kelly, Shaw or Nico. Nico is the most consistent hitter but offers absolutely zero SLG. Might be worth a try given his RISP ability.
