  1. I don't think Love was bad, but I also don't think he did anything to move the needle on whether or not he's the future. He seemed to be constantly under pressure, even when Spags didn't blitz. Thought the OLIne, specifically the interior, played pretty poorly in pass pro. They should have Bakhtiari at LT starting next week. That moves Elgton Jenkins to LG giving that side of the line two Pro Bowlers. Also thought LaFleur didn't really help Love out much with his playcalling. Maybe he was limited too much with JL at QB, but he had no answer for the blitzing. Would've liked to have seem him move the pocket, maybe call a few more screens. They weren't gonna run the table, and it is an AFC road loss. But I think they win going away if AR started. Hopefully he's back against Seattle next week.
  2. I'm certainly not anti-short by any means. But why the hell doesn't Ken Rosenthal carry around an egg crate or soapbox for crying out loud?!?!?
  3. I wanted to read that entire post above. I really did. Couldn’t do it though. Tried to, but started skimming about a third of the way through. Finished by reading the last couple of sentences.
  4. Was at the game. Corner of the end zone, field level, about 20 rows up from the game ending INT. Pretty amazing to see in person. Don't know how it sounded on TV, bit there were sooooo many Packers fans in the stadium. It was incredibly loud with GB support throughout the game. And the ending was glorious!!!
  5. That's pretty cool to hear. Congrats on the stellar picks. Hope you win big (with the Braves).
  6. wrong. institute the pitch clock. The 3 batter minimum will fix everything. Disregard the fact that teams are setting records for the number of pitchers used. Maybe limit the number of pitchers on the postseason roster. With there never being more than 2 games in a row, managers can basically six or seven pitchers each game (and they do).
  7. Call me crazy, but isn’t there “intent” in every check swing to actually swing the bat? And the “intent” to swing is then followed by the “intent” not to actually swing? I mean seriously, the ump is looking for intent??? Dumber than dumb.
  8. Took a risk not starting Burnes on short rest and it didn't pay off. Craig Counsell, always the smartest guy at the stadium.
  9. Forgot that former Packer DC Mike Pettine was now on the Bears' staff. Advisor role, I believe. Wonder if that will have any significant impact to the outcome of the game.
  10. Wasn't there talk of some of Milwaukee's own 'home-cookin' hijinks' during the 2018 & 2019 seasons? I'm seem to recall Yelich's number being absurd at home, especially his power number those two seasons (22/14 & 27/17). Then the Astros got busted at the end of 2019 and remarkably, Yelich becomes worse, like horrible.
  11. I wonder if TLR considered suggesting the runner on second base wear "blacked out" goggles or some other type of vision impairing eyewear.
  12. That's one of the benefits of being old, I legit remember when the Bears dominated this rivalry. I'm old enough to remember the Packers (Bears) in the 70s and 80s as well. Being in a household filled with Bears fans, the 80s were especially tough. The Bears absolutely dominated the Packers, although I did get to see in person one of the Packer wins at SF (pre-Favre). I don't know how some of those 1985-1989 Bears teams lost to anyone.
  13. The Packers O-line has been banged up and is mostly inexperienced. But they've played A LOT better since week one. The should have back Elgton Jenkins and hopefully Josh Meyers for the Bears. And then the should be getting Bakhtiari available the following week. What are the prospects of Eddie Goldman, Akiem Hicks and Germain Ifedi being able to suit up Sunday?
  14. Pitch framing, baseball IQ, leadership. Don't forget about the menacing looks and overall bitchy pettiness. And sweet, sweet neck tats!
  15. But, the intangibles! Want he also 0 for 2 throwing out runners stealing second? Pitch framing, baseball IQ, leadership.
  16. Jaylon Smith doesn’t need to be a star for GB. He just needs to be better than Oren Burks and Tyler Summers, an almost certainty, to improve the Packers defense.
  17. Tonight’s game for me is really a win/win. While I get the whole devil magic winning thing with the Cards, I would still find some gratification in knocking out the mighty Dodgers. That said, the Dodgers knocking them out would also be delightful. Like Jersey said, I will “love” the fact that one of these teams is one and done.
  18. Gilmore to Panthers foe a 6th. Jaylon Smith was just released by the ‘boys.
  19. Schwarbs with a big, fat DONG!! Gerrit Cole does not like "Playoffs Schwarber".
  20. Bogaerts absolutely obliterated that high FB from Cole.
  21. Thank you Cubs 2021 campaign……for finally being over.
  22. It will be delightful when either the Cardinals or Dodgers are out of the playoffs come Thursday morning.
  23. :flythew: I wonder if Happ feels like he's been sent down to Iowa given the lineup he's been playing with the last 2 months.
  24. So it would be could cool if Wick would throw strikes, maybe may the Cards put the ball in play.
  25. Happ with a BIG 2-out, 2-run DONG in the 9th gives the Cubs the lead. Can they hold on?
