  1. Hate the Cards, but not so certain this would actually disappoint me.
  2. If I'm interpreting your reply correctly, I'm not certain what's your beef is with my post. I don't think there's anything wrong with what I typed. There's' nothing baiting or trolling about it. If I were a Bears fan, would there be something wrong with what I typed? It seems odd to me that his coaching staff doesn't have a stock answer about Fields. As others mentioned, it's almost like he's being undermined. Are you that sensitive that a fan of a rival team can't comment on the Bears?? It was more in response to the Psaki comment, but also just your overall douchiness. Bears fans here, and other places, are freaking out about a fate acompli. And they're feeding your trolling. Fields will be the starter sooner than later. Chill the F out you dorks. Wasn't aware of my "genreral douchiness", but whatever. I'm a sports fan and I think fairly objective. And I don't troll at all. If that's how you've interpreted it, I don't know what to say. My comment about Jen Psaki was kinda toungue in cheek in that her job is to be the voice of the admin, or maintain a singular message. Doesn't sound like Nagy does that. Again, I'm not a troll, never have been. Much ado of nothing.
  3. Chirinos with a 2-run bomb in the 8th to tie it up. I know some/many don't want to see these guys win, but I still root for them. Maybe a few draft slots is significant, maybe not. I do like how they've played the last several weeks. On another note, I know Ross was questioned about having the team ready each day during the long losing streak. Maybe some blame. But also maybe some credit for have them play hard/win some games even against some trash opponents. Would be easy for everyone to mail it in.
  4. I'd think Nagy would have a handle on his coaching staff and maybe addressed with them an coordinated and "appropriate" answer to JF questions. Not surprisingly, he doesn't. I hear Jen Psaki will be available in a few weeks. this horsefeathering guy If I'm interpreting your reply correctly, I'm not certain what's your beef is with my post. 6. Russell's pretty great, but check out the start of last season - 14 TDs and 1 INT thru the first three games. Then 26/12 the rest of the way. Very un-MVP numbers. Similar in 2019 - 14 TD and 0 INT thru first 6 games. Then a good but not great 17 TD / 5 INT the rest of the way.
  7. Just saw da Raiduh’s signed Damion Square off the Bears practice squad. Don’t know much about him other than he’s a vet who’s been in the league for several years. Outside of an injury to a Bears DL, was this guy a potential weekly active guy or jag?
  8. Take it to the... No wait this is good here. I see what you did ther. :D
  9. TB scored 2 in top of 10th, but Jeimer Candelario tied it up with a 2-run dinger. Then TB walked 4 in the bottom of the 11th inning. Tigers get the win.
  10. Steele thru 4 innings - 3 ER, 8 hits, 2BB, 4 K, 80 pitches Not a great outing.
  11. Hope Steele has a good start, already given up a run on a couple of hits thru 2 innings. Would like to see the Cubs not get swept, but if they do….meh.
  12. I missed this one earlier in the week, but Hunter Renfroe with a hell of a throw to end the game.
  13. I love Javy. But how much do you trust giving him?
  14. BOOM!!! :flythew:
  15. Wouldn't it be smart to play 5 infielders EVERY time Heyward bats??
  16. Last time I didn't chime in for a Cubs' game, they lost. So I'm chiming in now. And yeah, Happ has been pretty remarkable of late.
  17. I'd say a few guys were "going thru the motions" maybe, especially as the deadline neared.
  18. You forgot, “…led by backup and future HoF’er Jordan Love.” 8-) Take it to the Packers thread.
  19. If you're pessimistic then nothing matters. Field's leg will spontaneously combust on the 50 yard line against the Packers and they'll blow a 30-3 lead in the 4th quarter. You forgot, “…led by backup and future HoF’er Jordan Love.” 8-)
  20. I was puzzled by this as well. It’s like they decided to play against the clock more so than against the Seminole offense….with more than a quarter left in the game. They started giving up chunk yards on the ground and never really adjusted. They also had 1st and 5 late in the 4th and went run, pass, pass. Big mistake. Pound the rock. I thought the “arm forward” no fumble call was wrong. Maybe by the “ letter of the law” in was accurate, but the QB is clearly starting to grab the ball with his left hand before he fumbles. At least ND escaped with the W.
  21. 5 in a row!! :flythew: :flythew: :flythew: :flythew: :flythew:
  22. So the Cubs have either scored 2 in the 9th to tie or They've scored 3 in the 9th for the win. Play under review!
  23. I wonder if he was made available at the deadline, and if so, were there any significant offers. Not that I'm advocating he being traded, more curious as I don't recall hearing any rumors.
