  1. Have you looked at the multitude of dogshit pitchers who have completely mystified Cubs hitters since July (and really before that)?
  2. I would like to agree with this but the Reds have a pitcher pitching.
  3. Earlier in the year, didn’t the Cubs struggle with the Reds starters only to crush their bullpen? Maybe that can be true tonight.
  4. I actually don't mind small ball/retro situational hitting. I'm pretty much over the "dong or K" mentality, although I'd imagine the MLB still prefers this.
  5. Where are you seeing this?? Head Coach says he day to day and already in the "return to play" process.
  6. I would imagine the Vikings offense improves with: -the return of Darrisaw; -the return of Addison; -additional game experience for McCarthy
  7. oh the irony of Santos putting the opening KO out of bounds.
  8. ^^not certain what you saw (or didn’t see actually) that makes you believe he was slightly above average. Week 1 first half he was 12/18 for 160+, 2 TDs and 0 INT. His passer rating was 128.6. He only threw 6 passes in second have because he didn’t need to pass. Packers dominated and run game did scoring. As an aside, Love was 8/9 for 128 and a TD between the numbers with a 155.8 passer rating, highest in the NFL. Week 2 he was 19/31 for 292, 2 TDs, 0 INT, and a passer rating of 113.9. Again , Packers jumped out quick in first half and mostly controlled the game. As an aside, Love was 14/17 for 178 and a TD outside the numbers with a 129.9 passer rating. 35/53 for 480, 4 TD, 0 INT and a passer rating of 120.0 thru 2 games (1 1/2) seems to be a little better than slightly average.
  9. Kind of a weird post. The division teams all play essentially the same schedule. The only differences being three games. The Bears play the "same place team" team (from the previous season standings) from the 2 NFC divisions the North doesn't play. And then the one AFC team which also finished in 4th place. So based on those 3 games only, the Bears play 3 games against last place/non-playoff teams. So really, the Bears in that regard benefit from the fourth place schedule. Of course, those teams are based on last years results, and a fourth place team may have had an off year like the Niners (whom the Bears play). The biggest reason the Bears strength of schedule is higher/harder than the Packers and Vikings is because the Bears SOS is based on the Vikings and Packers record from last year, So the Bears play a team with a 14-3 record twice while at the same time, those two games for the Vikings are against a 5-12 team Pretty significant disparity in factoring strength of schedules. Similarly, the Bears play two games against the playoff Vikings while those same two games for the Vikings are against a non-playoff Bears. It's about as balanced of a schedule as you can get with a 17-game schedule.
  10. All Philly sports fans are awful people.
  11. Well, going 4 and 5 against the Braves and Nats is less than ideal. But at least neither series losses were sweeps.
  12. I feel like Craig is gonna grind it out with his slumping players until the playoffs are secured. He's hoping any/all of them break the slump naturally. Once post season is clinched, he will give big mental rests, even if just for a few days.
  13. This is exactly the situation we want Ben Brown pitching.
  14. Pretty certain most/all teams “script” their first 15 plays and that’s a pretty big focus during the week. Probably why teams often look great on an opening drive but then not as much after.
  15. Yep! As I said, it was a great/obvious hire.
  16. Agreed. There is a long history of "great" coordinators that did not fair well as HCs. Great hire, but it's certainly not a ure thing,
  17. Week 1 jitters. Like McCarthy.
  18. "I understand why he called it" does not equal "It was a penalty".
  19. Would missing the playoffs really be all that bad? Asking for a friend.
  20. That throw was a rocket!!!
  21. That's why it was called. Defender never turned to track ball. Receiver is allowed to slow down for underthrow without geting runover. Pretty easy call.
