  1. Rios with another K. That’s 15 strikeouts in 27 ABs this season.
  2. Rios had 7 ABs in May. Let me repeat, Rios had 7 ABs in the entire month of May. He K'd in 5 of those 7, and he's K'd in his only AB tonight. He serves no purpose on the roster, let alone the starting lineup.
  3. An Edwin Rios sighting. An Edwin Rios strikeout.
  4. Did they announce when the surgery is scheduled yet?
  5. Seems like the perfect level/team for him.
  6. Totally deeked the camera crew. They weren’t expecting him to hit the ball out of the infield, much less in the air.
  7. As are the Athletics.
  8. Doesn't mean much, but after beating the sh!t out of Cubs' pitching, the Reds put up another 9 runs on the road against the Red Sox.
  9. As if the Cubs were aware of this thread, BOOM, outta the cellar in the NL.
  10. Liam Hendricks makes his season debut tonight after battling lymphoma in the offseason. Gave up a couple of runs but good to see him battle his way back.
  11. Rios with the rare start. But the not-so-rare 0-2 with 2Ks. He now has struck out 13 times in 25 ABs to go with his 2 hits. Probably a reason the Dodgers gave up on him.
  12. I know Stro can’t pitch tomorrow. What about Wednesday?
  13. Does anyone on this board have connections to any beat reporter? I would love one of them ask Ross about this after the game.
  14. Since bogartin’ the game thread (Thanks Brock), Cubs are 1-4, losing 4 straight. Maybe it’s time for a different game thread starter. You know, change vibe.

  16. Can anyone explain why Edwin Rios is on the roster. On one hand, they basically never use him. On the other hand, he strikes out about 50% of the time.
  17. I suck at starting game threads. Or/and I guess more accurately, the Cubs are sucky when I start game threads
  18. Interesting (or annoying) that Ross stacked the lineup with LHH when Greene’s splits against LHHs favor him considerably.
  19. Not suggesting he shouldn’t be in the lineup, but doesn’t he struggle against velocity pitchers?
  20. Hunter Greene v Justin Steele 1:20 PM on Marquee or MLBTV if you're not in Chicago, or Bally Ohio if you're in the 'nati area One or both of these teams will occupy last place in the division by Sunday evening. Hooray.

  22. Totally get the sentiment here. But Kyle almost certainly won't be around this team in a few years regardless. I certainly wouldn't give him away. But if the Cubs are not really in contention. and they can get a decent return that has greater possibilities of helping the team in the future, then make the move. But here's hoping for a good/decent return to the mound tonight.
