Seiya can't hit a high 90s/100s FB, right? -
Ben Joyce just rears back and throws bullets.

Happ crushes one to CF, but about a foot short of clearing the fence. Long out. Bottom of the inning, Troutlifts the ball sky high to RCF. If it’s a couple feet shorter, Tauchman makes the catch. That’s so Cub.

Minor League Discussion & Boxes, 6-7-23

Cade with 3 Ks in the 1st inning for a south Bend. -

Not that I went out on any limb yesterday, but (predictably) spot on.
-
Cliff notes version of why the ejection happened? I missed it. I'm guessing the Cuzzi strike zone.
-
Another lefty on the mound, so same lineup as yesterday? Maybe give Gomes knees a rest and swap positions with Miggy.
-
Just saw former Giants manager Roger Craig passed away at age 93.
-
Umps struggling with their positioning today.. How does that ump jog in front of the runner on that type of play???
-
Hendricks pissed as today’s offensive outburst most likely means two or less runs scored tomorrow
-
Miggy with his first MLB HR, 7-0 Cubs!
-
Followed by a Mancini bomb! Cubs - Trey Padres- zero
-
Yan Gones!!! 2-0 Cubs!
-
Nice start, with a little help.
-
I'm not discounting his "other two starts", but rather pointing out how dominant he was in the four.
-
With Iowa this season, Ben Brown has had 6 starts. In four of the starts he's pitched a total of 20 innings, given up 3 runs, 34 Ks and 9 BBs. He got knocked around in one start, and was fair in the other (poor defense). I wouldn't put too much stock in the number of innings/start. Seems to be a legit prospect.

I had a few of those types of round trippers back in the day.

I guess Mervis could be in there, but with a lefty on the mound (2 for 13, 8 Ks), not ideal.

Sciambi could be a Seth Rogan doppelgänger.

Rios with another K. That’s 15 strikeouts in 27 ABs this season.
-
Rios had 7 ABs in May. Let me repeat, Rios had 7 ABs in the entire month of May. He K'd in 5 of those 7, and he's K'd in his only AB tonight. He serves no purpose on the roster, let alone the starting lineup.

An Edwin Rios sighting. An Edwin Rios strikeout.

Did they announce when the surgery is scheduled yet?
