  1. Mervis is still down working on a minor swing change, right?
  2. Wisdom gonna "pitch count" Stro outta the game.
  3. Not certain if this is correct forum for this type of question, but what the hell. Francisco Alvarez was the MLB and the Mets top prospect last season. This season, he’s the Mets starting catcher with a 303/534/837 slash. This year Kevin Parada, another catcher, is the Mets top ranked prospect and #40 overal per MLB. Is there an equitable match with the Cubs as a far as a prospect for prospect(s) trade goes? And if so, what might the Cubs need to give up? The Mets don’t have many highly ranked OF prospects, And the Cubs seem to have several. Wouldn’t want to deal PCA back, but could Alcantara, Canaria, Davis or Caissie be a starting point with another lesser/lottery pick(s) as a sweetne?
  4. Two on, nobody out. I'd be shocked if Wisdom doesn't hit into DP or K.
  5. Jeimer Candelario and Matt Chapman are probably the two most enticing. Maybe Joey Wendle, Kiner-Falefa, Urshela Then there's a bunch of really old dudes: Donaldson, Longoria, Turner, Moustakas, Escobar (club option) Followed by (old) trash: Carpenter, Duffy, Anderson Javy has a $25 million opt-out. Definitely could handle 3B. Would he be worth exploring?
  6. With Happ, Suzuki, and Wisdom not hitting for the past couple of weeks, it only emphasizes the inability of the other dregs in the lineup.
  7. horsefeathers, piss, horsefeathers, ****, ********** motherhorsefeatherser, tits.
  8. How is it that the MLB schedule makers decided to give the Dodgers and Angels a day off tomorrow (Sunday), thus giving them each an extra day off for the All-Star break???
  9. Positive (for today at least) - the Maestro was 2 for 3 (2B) with 2 runs scored but made an error. Wasn't likely they were gonna beat the Yankees today anyway with Cole on the mound. And Smyly has been trash. Hendricks tomorrow gives them a pretty good chance of taking the series (but for it being a Sunday game - ugh).
  10. That Was an Absolute.... Stanton off the third deck facade!
  11. Wrung up Tauchman on an equally bad outside pitch on a full count a few innings earlier.
  12. 13 batters faced thru 4 innings. 1 ball hit out of infield (FO CF). 1 BB, 0 hits so far.
  13. Kyle nabbed a 108 mph come-backer in the second for the third out and then casually walked to the dugout. Jim D said if he were on the mound, it would’ve hit him in the ass. But followed up by saying he would’ve then picked it up and thrown out the hitter.
  14. They tried to squander it, but Yan put one just out of reach of the RF. Dansby, OTOH, put one way out of reach of the CF.

  16. Because before the Ricketts took ownership, this did not happen??
  17. Today is the best I’ve ever done - 8 out of 9. For some dumb reason, Carney Lansford came to mind first for the A’s and 200 hits. So I was down to 8 guesses right out of the gate. Rebounded with Miggy as pick two, and then got the next 7 in a row. Had a 0.02% for one square. Never had a chance to get the Reds/Cards box as my guesses were up.
  18. When Cubs pitchers walk a poor hitter, is it a rule that hitter must score?
  19. Aaaaaaand……the comeback starts. A HR away from the inning cycle for the Brewers.
