For a while I thought it was nibbling, but the longer it has gone on, it has become obvious it's a control problem. He pretty much admitted as much himself. Yeah, he said a few weeks ago he lost the control of his cutter and has had to rely on his fastball more often. Then why not throw the fastball more often?? Make 'em put the ball in play. It's not like the Indians are the Red Sox. Or the Cubs.

Coming to the party late. Like the offense. Not thrilled with Jake, but it's early. Trevor Bauer's delivery reminds me of Roy Oswalt.

I actually got a little choked up after the final out in Game 4 of the Giants series. Don't know why, but the way that game played out ended up being a little emotional for me. Last night was sheer joy and excitement. Still work to be done, though.

All this talk about dongs and/or CK. I'll take a different path. Kyle Hendricks is the sh!t!. He basically shut the Dodgers down last time out. Was a little shaky with the strike zone, but he have up only 3 hits and 1 run on a wind blown HR. The Dodgers don't want to face this guy. They had horrible swings last week, and it will be more of the same tonight. They won't know if the should look inside, outside, up or down in the zone. They're gonna be swinging at change ups dropping below their knees and getting frozen by 89-91mph heaters on either side of the strike zone. Go ahead Dodgertown, fill your lineup with lefties. It won't matter. Kyle will keep everyone off balance. Tonight will be about Kyle, not kershaw!

So the Dodgers are being really cautious with Urias. I get that. But let me ask a question. Aren't the Dodgers being a little haphazard with Kershaw? I mean, I get it. Getting to the WS is a big deal. And you never know when the next opportunity presents itself (see the Cubs). But they have a ton of dough invested in this guy over the long term. And he had a pretty significant back injury just two months ago. Isn't it pretty darn irresponsible to keep running this guy out there on short rest...assuming he pitches Game 5 (if they're down 3-1) or even another game 6 followed by relief work the following day????

Headed to my first ever playoff game shortly. Section 213, possibly obstructed view :( . Hope it's an exciting game, but I'll take a dull-ass, boring win over excitement. Hope to be waving the "W" tonight!!
