  1. Also, wouldn't want to be a coach/Head Coach knowing that Pops said he would be willing to "coach" in the NFL if he were able to coach his son(s).
  2. Aren't a bunch of teams ruled out (by Sanders) because Pops said there are only certain cities his son would play in?
  3. Also, Merrill Kelly has the Roland Schitt look going.
  4. Is there a rule that will allow a "do over" for Suzuki?
  5. Glasnow exits in 5th after also being visited at the mound by trainer in the 4th.
  6. DBacks announcers said delay is because of lightning strike nearby.
  7. I'm torn between A and C. May I phone a friend?
  8. Here's the NFLPA 2025 Team Report Cards for all 32: Link Bears ownership got an A- and ranked 13th. Eberflus was ranked dead last with a C grade. Vikings get an A, A+ or A- in every category except Nutritionist/Dietician (B+) Detroit had all Bs in all categories except HC (A+), Strength/Conditioning Coaches (A) and Locker Room (C+) Packers had As in all categories except Strength/Conditioning Coaches, Training Facilities, Locker Room and Treatment of Families (all Bs)
  9. Nope, not ambivalence. Just life getting in the way. I went up for the "futures" game last year and it was rained out. Plan on heading up this year for one of the two futures games they play.
  10. After living in AZ for the past 5 1/2 years, I'm hoping to finally get up to Mesa for a game or two this spring.
  11. LInk to video on "take out" slide Pretty good video with a focus on the Chase Utley/Ruben Tejada incident. Amazing to look back at what used to be legal just a few decades back. The video is 19 minutes but a pretty enjoyable watch if you have the time.
  12. I have never been less interested in a Superb Owl in my entire life. My preference is neither team win, but that can’t happen. I’ll probably watch and hope my numbers hit. That’s about it.
  13. As a person who’s had 4 hernia repair surgeries, I can say that they can very often have minimal impact on daily life. And some hernias don’t even require surgery. Not suggesting Dansby didn’t need surgery or could’ve waited. Just suggesting that it makes sense to me that he and his teams may not have thought hernia surgery was immediately necessary.
  14. Isn’t his salary only $1 million this year with the remaining $5 paid in equal parts for 15 years starting in 2038?
  15. So the Dodgers now have 8 starting pitchers who would each be a TOR guy on most MLB teams. right?
  16. Not a fan. They look like unis for an "over 40" softball league.
  17. My take as a Packers fan, having watched many McCarthy-coached seasons, is that he would absolutely be good for Caleb Williams. He was a "QB whisperer" early in his coaching career. He helped Favre at the end of his career, coached up Rodgers (look at his early mechanics), and has done well with Dak. I know Bears fans don't want an older coach and/or retread, but he would bring stability, experience, and winning to the Bears. And I think he'd be a great fit for Williams.
  18. The next time Jordan Love overthrows his WR on a deep ball will be the first time he overthrows his WR on a deep ball in a really, really long time. Funny thing is that he has a lot of arm strength. He just never seems to get the deep pass well beyond the defender, always seems a tad underthrown.
  19. I would be extremely comfortable if the Bears are facing the Packers' Jordan Love for the next 10 seasons as well.
  20. I think comparing Love to Favre and Rodgers career talent is really not realistic/fair, especially after just two seasons. Favre and Rodgers are first-ballot HoFers and two of the greatest QBs of all time. The Packers had to give him the big contract last season because it was coming up on year 4 of his initial contract. I think Packers fans annointing him as the "next one" after last season was a bit premature. But I also think that labeling him as nothing special after year 2 (as a starter) is also a bit premature. Using early Favre as a comparison, his first season starting for the Packers was pretty special. BUt in year 2 as a starter, he led the league in INTs. Packers fans had no idea what to make of the "ol' gunslinger". He seemed to make 2 bad decisions for every remarkable play. But year 3 proved to be a pretty spectacular season followed by 3 consecutive MVPs. And then a "Superb Owl" win. I don't know that Love will ever be HoF material, but he doesn't have to be. He just needs to build on his first two seasons as a starter and improve. And I think getting a receiving corp with some experience will help. The WR/TE with the most experience just finished their third season. Anyway, as I mentioned in another thread, I didn't think the Packers were going to go very far in the playoffs. They just didn't seem to ever be able to put four quarters together in a game. ONwatd and upward to the Draft and then the 2025 season! Go Pack Go!!
  21. The irony of something being funny before no longer being funny as linked to David Letterman has not gone unnoticed.
