  1. White Sox record in each month of 2024 season: 0-3 March 6-21 April (3-game sweep of Rays) 9-19 May (series win at Cards; a 4-game win streak) 9-19 June (3-game win streak) 3-22 July 4-19 August (so far)
  2. White Sox are horrible. And unlucky. But mostly horrible. Check out the top of the 9the in a tied 3-3 game. Two, man on first and second. Kyle Seager bloops one in the short CF. Luis Robert is literally and inch or two from making a sliding catch for the third out. He doesn't. Rangers go up 4-3. Then Jankowski in the bottom of the inning. They are unlucky. But mostly horrible.
  3. Supposing you could elaborate on this??
  4. Paredes has been great ay 3B, but man has he been dreadful at the plate.
  5. Blame it on the pitch clock!!
  6. Wisdom gets the start at 3B for Paredes. With a RHSP starter for the Jays. Odd. PCA moves up a notch in the batting order, hitting seventh.
  7. Not related to today's game, but it looks like Skubal is starting tonight against the Yankees. So the Cubs will miss him in the Detroit series. Big plus!!
  8. They are, and pretty much have their entire existence, been a pathetic franchise.
  9. Yeah, I don't have much more than a pedestrian eye for football film. My overarching point was supposed to be mostly that it was a good read, good throw and good protection.
  10. Looks like there was the exact same opening/lane to throw to Odunze at top of the play as well. Key to play is protection. If he has time to throw a given play and the timing with WR is there, QBs will/should make those throws.
  11. I hate this thread and the coincidence of the trend of the teams mentioned since its start date. That said, the Cardinals next 25 game stretch is brutal. After a 3-game set in Cincy, they play: -Dodgers -Brewers -@ Twins -Padres (4 games) -@ Yankees -@ Brewers -Mariners Good luck with that. If they are still in playoff contention after that stretch, they they certainly deserve it. Hope they fail miserably.
  12. PCA the last 7 games, 15 games, and 30 games. Pretty F'ing solid/spectacular!!!! Duration AB R H HR RBI BB SO SB AVG OBP SLG Last 7 Games 24 3 10 0 3 1 2 3 .417 .440 .667 Last 15 Games 51 6 16 0 6 2 7 5 .314 .340 .490 Last 30 Games 99 9 24 2 11 4 17 8 .242 .272 .424
  13. I was at a bar in San Diego watching that disaster. Went to the game the following night (a win) and the rubber game after that ( a loss).
  14. Until two singles and a walk. Then the White Sox will have the "heart" of their order up with the bags juiced.
  15. Fun Fact On June 4, the White Sox led the Cubs 5-0 after 4 innings. Their bullpen was bad and the Cubs walked it off in the bottom of the ninth. Fun Fact II On June 5, the White Sox 5-1 after 4 innings. Their bullpen was bad and the Cubs walked it off in the bottom of the ninth. ------------------------ Tonight, the Cubs led 7-0 after 3 innings. Will their bullpen be bad? Will they return the favor? Does it really matter?
  16. And a very efficient 10 pitch inning by Ryan.
  17. This was referenced on the post game show last night by Chuck Garfein and the Big Hurt.
  18. Festa gave up 16 hits (3 HRs) and 12 runs in his first two MLB starts (10 innings). In his last two starts (9.1 innings) he's given up 3 runs (2 HRS). He was the Twins #6 prospect.
