  1. 4 year extension signed today, so (non)"hold out" is over.
  2. Mariner's #12 (Smith) and #22 prospects.
  3. Where would the Cubs be today if they had signed (because TR approved the expense increase) Baez, Rizzo, Bryant, Contreras, and Schwarber to long-term extensions?? Or even if they signed half of them? Yikes!
  4. And you all said the Cubs would be "sellers". Bah!
  5. That most likely will be the case. Unfortunately, the bats won't be high caliber.
  6. Megill has given up a 2-run HR in two of his past three outings.
  7. For a season - absolutely. For a single game - starting pitcher.
  8. Slap whatever word on it you want, but Jordan Love is not "holding out". The Packers and his agent have been working on an extension for a while now. He participated in all of the offseason workouts and he's currently in training camp. He's participating in all of the non-contact parts of camp (meetings, team activities, etc.) just not actual practice. Makes total sense. If he gets injured/significantly injured before a contract is finalized, he stands to lose a fair amount of money. Would not be surprised if the extension is announced this week.
  9. Not really certain the everyday DH thing is working either.
  10. Didn't see the game, but the highlights show each infielder making a stud defensive play.
