This is sort of "Bears" news (maybe).... Just read the the Packers have requested of the NFL to open the upcoming season at home. It is their 100th season, and the Packers want to make it a big, weekend celebration. And it's supposed to be the Sunday night game. So you gotta think it will be a division game, right? Well, what better match up than the OLDEST rivalry in football, right?!? While I think it would be a game the NFL would love to market, I'd rather not play that game against the Bears. These two teams have a habit of ruining "special games" for the other team (i.e - Favre's jersey retirement, Sayers & Butkus # retirement, etc.). Anyway, thought it was worth sharing in this thread. -
honestly took me a second to figure out who that was and i think it was because of the smile I thought is was one of the players' teenage-ish daughter.

According to twitter there has been a notable number of Cubs fans that are showing up in full Cubs gear, presumably they were planning on going to Wrigley today but detoured south when it was cancelled. I think new Comiskey, or whatever corporate name they've slapped on it for this season, is pretty nice. They have great food, the views of the field is nice from most areas, and it's great to hear the players, coaches and umps during the game.

Remember when the thought was that he would be as good at 3rd base as Braun was, and where in the field will he be able to play. Not only is he an above average 3rd baseman, but he can also play 1st and all three outfield positions at least adequately. The guy is a stud on the baseball field! -

During “Game Night” this past offseason, Bryant’s wife mouthed “over rated” just before Bryce dropped the word “quickly” with a triple word score in Scrabble. BOOM!! Sixty-six points plus an additional 50 for using all his tiles. Don’t mess with Bryce.

You sure about that??? I’m counting 37 Ks in in 108 outs - 34%! That's absolutely not how you calculate that but whatever. Edit: If you want to learn about how percentages work this is for you. Ok, not the K rate, but still a lot of swings and misses. Especially compared to Marlins over the same period. And in the context of Q’s pitching relative to the first three innings of this game.
