  1. Umm, hes played since being beaned. Yes, I know. I didn't say it was broken -- just sore enough that they're holding him out. It would be the absolute wrong move to have him gut it out through pain in his hand, putting additional pressure on him if he doesn't perform. I'm surprised they let him play the day after that. Im not saying you are wrong Tim, but Im yet to see this anywhere else but from you. What can I say? Sometimes I hear things through email. Nothing I would put a tremendous amount of faith in except for the fact that it seems really logical. It does seem logical but what seems more logical from the Cubs is he didnt produce for 4 games so we are playing the veteran

  3. Theriot's been dropped from first to second to eighth in the lineup in 5 games. If Lou really had a love affair with Theriot, he'd still be hitting at the top of the order. Then what would you call it? Lou has continued to play him even though he has had 1 productive month in his entire MLB career, but he still gets to go out there everyday with no worries of him losing his job if he sucks(which he already does). Yet, our top positional prospect, who has torn up every level of minor leagues hes played in, gets 4 damn games to start and then gets benched for at least 2 consecutive games againste RH pitchers, and probably more games this week since we will be facing some lefties. I mean Lou is sitting Pie, against 2 RH pitchers, so he can start a guy who has a career .268 .328 .354 line against RH pitchers in over 1500 ab's, but will continue to roll out a guy who has been horrible for every month outside of 1 of his much longer MLB career. The fact that he moved Theriot down to the 8 hole is meaningless, hes starting every game. Hell the fact he put a guy with a .328 career OBP in the 2 hole says to me, that Lou really doesnt have a clue right now, and hasnt all year. I don't know what I would call it. But I do know that I would be worried if I was Theriot right now and I don't see how you can say Theriot has no worries about losing his job. Like I said, he's been moved from first to second to eighth in 5 games. Next step on that route is the bench. Why would he be worried when he was 1 of the worst SS's in all of baseball last year, yet continued to start, and was given the starting job this year?

  5. He wont be around by June, if Lou has anything to do with it. Well if he doesnt start to produce by then he doesnt deserve to be here, hell if he is still slumping and being an instant out by the end of this month then send him back down. He has been given 4 games and now sitting out 2 games in a row against RH pitchers. All so a guy who has a career .710 OPS agasinst RH's in over 1500 ab's can start in place of him. Pie should be starting every game against RH's and some agaisnt Lh's, plain and simple. If Soriano and Aram produce you can live with Pie in CF playing great D. I think its telling that Pie has been benched for 2 games, so a guy with less talent than him can play, but yet we have a SS who hasnt produced, but we dont get to see him benched in favor of his backup...

  7. Awesome isnt it? I guess its all Pies fault that our offense has been shut down by Chris Sampson, Jeff Suppan, etc...

  9. Cya Pie. You didnt produce the first 4 games, so now you are on the bench, you can thank your dumbass organiztation and manager.
  10. Ha this organization is a damn joke. Screw you Lou.
  11. If Pie sits till Thurs, they may as well trade him. This team should, and I say should, mash lefties. Soriano, Lee, Aram, DeRosa, Soto, and even Theriot should mash lefties. Thats all we kept hearing about was how right handed this team was. Let Pie play, even against lefties(outside of the tough tough lefties) and if he hits then great, if not, then oh well. Pie needs as much playing time as possbile right now, and him sitting against 2 rightys on back to back days is beyond ridiculous, and sitting him against every damn lefty is even more assanine. Lou is seriously pissing me off this year, hes made alot of stupid moves, and stupid decisions. His love affair with Ryan freaking Theriot is nauseating. He has been terrible so far this year, as has Pie, but at least Pie plays good D. Ugh I hate this team sometimes. Oh and dont expect Soriano to start hitting untill the weather heats up. Im so tired of hearing him talk about how cold it is. Ok, end rant sorry.
  12. Not me. Im rooting for UNC all the way. I picked them in my pool, and to see a Bill Self team blow this lead would be fantastic.
  13. Wow Carolina, HAHAAHAH KU.
  14. So Johnson is starting again? Yay we let our CF have 4 games before being replaced.
  15. He came in with a 3-run lead. You've got to let him get out on the mound and straighten himself out, and if you're not going to do it in three run games, when are you going to do it. Ah, I thought it was a 2 run lead, my mistake. Well hopefully the Cubs offense wakes up and can be up by 4+ so Howry can get things straightened out, because right now he is terrible.
  16. Bob Howry needs to stop coming into games that are close until he gets straightened out. I understand he gets better as the season goes along, but using him right now in close games is a detriment to this team. Bring him in when we are up big, or down big, but no more seeing action in 1-2 run games until he gets straightend out.
  17. Well you got your wish today TT. This better not be a sign of things to come regarding Pie. Just let him play and leave him the hell alone.
  18. I believe he showed it in the 4th inning. Sarcasm
  19. We dont deserve a break with the way we are playing.
  20. Warning Track Power, wheres Lees power?
  21. Yea cause 2 games for Soto and all last year for Theriot are really comparable.
  22. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  23. Wow Soto wow. Thats a passed ball shouldnt be a damn wild pitch.
  24. What in the holy hell was that? Seriously Soto wtf you moron
  25. The problem is, the Brewers a year older and a year better, and are less likely to colapse as bad as they did last year, and with Dempster on the mound tommorow, a sweep is likely, and thats giving these guys a lot of momentum. Momentum in baseball is a joke.
