  1. Seriously this is 2005 DLee wow hes just hammering everthing in sight.
  2. Sure am glad we have a [expletive] 2nd baseman playing left field. This organization is ignorant.
  3. Maybe Soriano will be out for the year and the Cubs will sign Bonds :rotfl:
  4. Quit acting like a [expletive] rabbit out there Soriano and just catch the damn ball idiot.
  5. The same reason they had such an easy ride to 16-0, they play in the pathetic AFC East. Yea after I typed that I started thinking about their division.
  6. How does a team that was in the Super Bowl have the easiest schedule in the league?
  7. The only thing Dusty Baker deserves credit for is helping set this organization back 3+ years.
  8. I want to beat the Reds way to much. Screw you Dusty you piece of crap.
  9. For the people talking about Wood, and him not being a closer, let me ask you this....Who in this bullpen right now looks good? Howry has been bad, Marmol has been missing with alot of his pitches, and hasnt looked like Marmol of last year. Then there is Wood who if he doesnt go 1,2,3 every single outing, or if he walks a batter is going to be crucified, and called a "sham" closer. Seriously it doesnt matter who of these 3 are our closer, cause the other 2 will still be pitching when the game is tight, so does it really matter what inning Wood is used in? Howry and Marmol are more used to coming into the middle part of an inning when a pitcher needs to get loose quick, as a closer Wood has more time to warm up since his use is pretty much pre-determined every game. Just leave Wood alone.
  10. Well I might get tired of it once it happens...
  11. I hope you're joking about the bolded part. As of right now, Hill should be lucky to call himself a major league starter. Why cause he had a bad start?
  12. He was new to a league, and had the best year of his career. Hes nowhere near a number 2, and hes been getting hit badly. So, just to clarify, you think the Cubs are stupid for making a knee jerk reaction based on a couple starts with Hill but are you are now doing the same thing with Lilly? No Im saying its ignorant to do it with Hill, but if you are going to do it with Hill, then its only fair to do it with Lilly. Id be more concerned with a pitcher getting absolutely knocked around every start, then a pitcher having problems throwing strikes. so, this is a serious thread? No not really. Its more a thread making fun of how stupid the Cubs think.
  13. Lilly's struggles concern me as much as Hill's, if not more. Lilly was up in the zone most of the night. He's not walking people so much as he's throwing weak stuff. Yup thats exactly what Ive been saying. Hills control really shouldnt be that hard of a thing to fix. I mean hes always had a high walk rate, but nothing like this. However Lilly is just getting mashed and not missing bats like he did last year. I dont know what his deal is but color me concerned.
  14. I think Demp will be fine. Obviously not as good as hes been, but not as bad as hes been in his past as a starter either. My feelings about Jason Marquis have been well documented here, so all Ill say is, he sucks. Lilly is the one Im most concerned with. Hes getting hit, and hit hard. But what the hell are you going to do with a guy who is in the 2nd year of a 40 million dollar deal? The only thing feasible is putting him on the DL, and seeing if he can get things figured out on the side. Z will be fine.
  15. Yea you basically said the same thing.

  17. I forgot that all of NSBB's brilliant minds (who just happen to not be brilliant enough to have jobs in baseball) do. Pretty much always it seems. (I'm not saying I agree with yanking Hill, but seriously, people on NSBB think they know everything about baseball - sometimes it gets tiresome). You know what gets more tiresome? People posting on NSBB, bitching about NSBB, and its posters.
  18. He was new to a league, and had the best year of his career. Hes nowhere near a number 2, and hes been getting hit badly.
  19. Its only fair right? He has sucked this year, and is getting hammered, unlike Hill who just cant find the zone. Lillys smoke and mirrors from last year are over.
  20. Ok so is everybody ready to jump on Lilly like they have Hill so far this year?
  21. Today is the perfect day to start Pie. Hes got some confindence after yesterdays game winner, and let him get right back in there against a righty and see if he can build on that confidence.
