  1. Now Theriot will run and get thrown out with our best HR hitter up.
  2. I came here to say the exact same thing. We should be running with anybody who gets on base not named Soto, Ramirez, or Derosa. You ever tried to run on a pool table? Huh?

  4. How can you say hes not that dumb or ignorant? The guy hit Neifi Perez, Jose Macias, Rey Sanchez, and Corey Patterson at leadoff or 2nd during his stint as Cubs manager. He then gets a new job and bats Corey Patterson leadoff again. He most certainly is that dumb and ignorant.
  5. How has Crean done recruiting Chicago, and Illinois in general? Other than DWade, I cant think of any stars hes brought in. Am i missing anyone?
  6. ISIAH ISIAH ISIAH ISIAH!!! Come on IU fans, and boosters, just chant his name and he will come....
  7. Just when we get rid of one arrogant, delusional SEC fan, another one comes along. :banghead:
  8. Ha, I still think Skiles would be a great choice for IU. But Isiah would be a perfect choice :beg:
  9. I still think Skiles ends up at IU.
  10. Evidently every front office guy in baseball. Hendry has been dangling him all offseason, and no one seems to be in any hurry to take him off his hands. Just because hes been dangling him and no deal has been made doesnt mean he doesnt have value. Its more likely that every front office knows the Cubs have no room for him, and are trying to steal him from the Cubs. Since Hendry has made it so obvious they have no intention of ever using him correctly.
  11. And Molina isnt really that close to Soto in his offensive abilities.
  12. Bo Ryan doesnt have a bunch of unathletic white guys, but that is what the media would like everybody to think. Hes got 4 and 5 star athletes, thats why SSR said he may be a bit overrated, cause everybody likes to say he has low talent players and thats nowhere close to being true.
  13. Ok could somebody please tell me why we are looking for a RH hitting outfielder, when we have a little red head on the team that mashes left handed pitching? On days we face a lefty why not just move Fukudome to CF, and plug Murton into RF, that seems like the most logical, and most productive alignment we could ask for, but then again this is the Cubs who seem to want nothing to do with Murton for some damn reason.
  14. I agree, I think Lieber goes to the pen, and Dempster and Marquis start. Lieber saying he'd have no problem going to the pen basically guarantees it to me. If Marquis gets moved to the pen hes going to be a pain in the ass, and Dempster moving to the rotation was the Cubs idea, so I doubt they go back on that already. Lieber in my opinion will be in the pen until Marquis is traded.
  15. Here is a view from sect 204 http://www.seatdata.com/html/mlb_cubs/section_mlb_cubs_204.htm
  16. Definatly looking forward to seeing Donaldson and Vitters quite often in Peoria this year.
  17. I still have all elite 8 teams left, and have only lost 3 sweet 16 teams, not to bad really.
  18. What did either of those teams accomplish to have a better resume than Ohio State? Illinois State's best wins were against Creighton twice (RPI #46) and Southern Illinois (#62). VCU's best wins are against Houston (#80) and Maryland (#85). Ohio State has wins over Syracuse (#55), Florida (#73), Cleveland State (#63), Purdue (#45) and Michigan State (#16). Indiana played both Illinois State and Ohio State, and there is no doubt Ohio State is a superior team. They arent in the Big Ten........
  19. Did Yost also announce when his 1st DL stint of the year is expected?
  20. I believe it was found out he was behind the site that wont be named, but I may be wrong.
  21. It's fair to give the Big 10 props for playing to the seed (read previous post about 4-5 matchups as tossups)? And yes, Pac-10, Big East and ACC are easily superior to the Big 10 and the Big 12 is a bit better. The only conference the Big 10 is better than is the SEC. The Big 10 didn't get unfairly criticized for anything this year. They were down in both football and basketball and that's what was said about them. In football the best team got killed in the title game after not playing anybody in the regular season (though I know they ususally do) second best team got annihilated by USC in the Rose Bowl and the third best team lost to a I-AA team at home and then got embarrassed by Oregon at home. That came after they got the crap kicked out of them in the Rose Bowl last year as well. I don't see where this criticism was undeserved. Funny you said all that about football, but forgot to mention how the 2nd/3rd best team in the Big Ten beat mighty Gators. Oh well, Big Ten basketball and football is on its way up so Im not concerned. I don't give a damn about Florida and not once have did I refer to their 2007 team as mighty. They didn't have a defense this year and clearly weren't as good of a team as they were when they won the title. My point still stands that in your comment you talked about Ohio State losing in its bowl, then Illinois, but then never said what Michigan did in their bowl, but instead choose to talk about them losing at home to a 1-AA school and Oregon. Like Ive said the Big Ten is down and its on its way right back up, but for as much Big Ten homer talk that there suppsosedly is, there is just as much Big Ten bashing for no reason.

  23. But oh well, congrats to Wisconsin and Michigan State for helping my bracket. The only Sweet 16 teams Ive lost is friggin ND and Drake.
  24. Man Indiana sure played well in the tournament. And the fifth and sixth place teams, Ohio State and Minnesota, had good showings as well. Oh wait...... Yes, Indiana was awful. But they did lose their coach right at the end of the season. Ohio State probably, or at least arguably, should've been in the tournament. Still, for a conference that is supposed to be horrendous, 5-2 with two Sweet 16 teams isn't too shabby. They still only had four teams in the tournament. Of course a conferences odds of looking good and having a good record are going to improve if they only have their best teams. If the Pac-10 only had four teams in, they'd be 6-1 with three Sweet 16 teams. Instead, Arizona and Oregon both got in, lost in the first round and dropped the overall record down. The Big 10 was down this year and was only better than the SEC. I don't see why some Big 10 homers (I'm looking at Keener, not you) continue to say the Big 10 was good this year when it clearly wasn't. For one, with as much crap as the Big Ten caught this year about them being horrible, and people have said that being the best in the Big Ten is like who has the ugliest mother, I think its fair to give them props. I have said all year that the Big Ten was down, I have never said they werent. But they didnt deserve all the crap they got, because the other leagues arent that much superior to them. Im just sick and tired of the crap that gets spewed about the Big Ten being terrible, since we had to hear about it in football also. And when push came to shove, Big Ten football didnt look to damn bad in the bowls, and the basketball teams arent looking too damn bad either.
  25. Damn that Big Ten sucks.......
