  1. Well, from the sounds of Lous comments, Theriot will be back starting today...DUMB
  2. I find it highly comical all the Cardinal fans who are expecting Chris Carpenter back in the 2nd half, starting, and being the Chris Carpenter of old. Its not going to happen. Maybe he will return to his former self next year, but he wont this year.
  3. 'cause it's their home opener. Ahh ok that makes sense then. Thanks Fred
  4. A 12 30 Monday afternoon start? Thats odd isnt it? Yes I understand its 1 30 in Pitt but I dont remember many 12 30 Monday starts.
  5. Last year, Jason Kendall, Ryan Therito, Cliff Floyd/Jacque Jones were everyday starters for a contending team. If Soriano, Aram, DLee, Fukudome, Soto and DeRo hit like they are capable of then you can live with a starting CF learning the ropes playing great defense. Theriot on the other hand doesnt bring defense or offense to the table, but the Cubs could still be contenders with both of them in the lineup. However, an upgrade at SS would make things much much easier, while letting the organizations top prospect play defense and provide what offense he can. Pie has shown an uncanny ability to make adjustments at every level hes been on when hes been given a chance to fight thru his struggles, and Im praying the Cubs are patient enough to let him see if he can make the adjustments at this level. You feel better with Rotoworld confirming what I said or do you still think I'm full of it? I never said I didnt believe you, I just found it odd nothing was mentioned yesterday about it. Just sucks for Felix cause hes going to be sitting for probably a week. Based on your comment in the game thread today, I think it's pretty clear you didn't believe me. The one after Felix entered the game? I said I was being facetious.

  7. I wouldn't call this week "crap week." It could've been better, but it could've been worse. Finishing the week, 3-3, is pretty solid first week, IMO. going .500, at home, against only 2 good pitchers, is a pretty solid week? Your solid weeks will have us fighting for 3rd place.

  9. That was me and it could be a nasty nasty BP when Howry works out of his problems. Hell if Eyre pitches like he did in the 2nd half last year, its even more deep. But our RH pitchers are flat out dominant in their roles.
  10. SIT DOWN!!!!!!!!!! I love our sham closer
  11. 2 Down! Lets get Tejada, and salvage this crap week.
  12. Blanco is a good backup catcher...who's gonna play like once every three games. Chill out bout the salary Hes still way overpaid, but thats our GM's fault not Henrys
  13. Give me a G Give me an R Give me an I Give me a T..Whats that spell?? THERIOT!
  14. Seriously can we stop showing the dude with no shirt
  15. I wonder whose [expletive] is bigger [-X
  16. When Howry gets straightend out, Ill put our BP up against any team in the ML's.
  17. well he may not have to bat and his wrist is probably fine to play defense I know I was being facetious(I have no clue how to spell that word) Sorry, didn't realize that. Yea no problem, kinda hard to tell.
  18. Lol at Kerwin Danley saying talk to the hand :D
