  1. Kyle has the death sentence on twelve systems. I will kill every Almora I can get my hands on, until they are as dead as their dragons, and then I will piss on their graves. We have to resign Fowler or no one will be pissing anywhere, ever.
  2. Last night was the perfect time to use him. Essentially an off day for the bullpen. (And extra batting practice for the hitters)
  3. So is no one coming up to do today? Edit: Montero DHing as its Lester/Ross day.
  4. I think it's time to change Brandon's name (ala jerry, Garry, Larry on parks and rec). I suggest Brenden.
  5. Love it. Floyd kinda threw Melvin under the bus there at the end.
  6. You realize the scale for those plots are in feet, right? Yes and a 3" diameter ball puts those pitches an inch or two low or outside. Bad call, but not egregiously so. The one to Soler, however, wow. I'm pretty sure the black box already considers the width of the ball. I didn't get out a ruler, but the box goes .8 feet in either direction(maybe a bit more), which is already 2+ inches wider than the actual plate. Gotcha. Retracted.

  8. If that's "close enough" then we shouldn't even bother having balls and strikes. If that is the center of a 3" diameter sphere, then the edge of than sphere is almost touching that 17" box.
  9. Do those dots represent the center of the ball? If so, the two on Bryant are close enough.
  10. Clearly we need designated pitchers to pitch for pitchers so that they don't get hurt.
  11. Schwarber leads AA in almost every offensive category. Um. No. He doesn't even lead his own team in most offensive categories at the moment. He does, however, lead both Arismendy Alcantara and Antonio Alfonseca in almost every offensive category.
  12. Khalil Greene. J.R. Towles. Who was all about Khalil Greene?
  13. Physical abnormalities. Conduct unbecoming a pedophile.
  14. Khalil Greene.
  15. Threats of violence against babies. And puppies.
  16. No one thinks you're a troll. 2003 is a real bad memory for most of us. ;) Because Baker killed prior by sending a rookie with 200 innings on his arm for the first time ever back out in the 8th inning of an 8-1 game with 131 pitches... 131 freaking pitches...how stupid can you be! breathe, breathe, br. **passes out** Guy has a point, Maddon is better.
  17. Clearly he is a Cardinals fan. Best Fuhrer In Baseball
  18. Several references on yesterday's game thread to great ABs by Herrera. What did he do to "get in shields' head?
  19. Krismas and Krismas Eve [expletive] that. We're making it an 8 night event celebrating the 8 games in which we had to burn through [expletive] 3B. Krismukuh. Upvote
  20. What is this "pitching prospect" you speak of?
  21. Add any 5 consecutive random games of Baez last year to those numbers. I would imagine it would drop them to middle of the pack. The direction is clear, and I don't think javy can adapt.
  22. There may be a way to turn this to the Cubs' advantage. I would love to see our catchers start throwing to first after pitches to surprise runners who try to exploit lester's blass-sax-knoblauch disease.
  23. Yeah, when thinking of rosters, think of it as a limit, not a requirement.
