4/21 World Champion Cubs (Lester) @ Reds (Adleman) 6:10 WGN
Bull replied to Andy's topic in Fred Hornkohl Game Thread Forum
Joe maybe wants Javy's defense out there with Lester on the mound? Albert with back to back starts, that's nice. This as close to the all defence lineup as I'm going to get. Honestly it's as close as I want to get. Maybe Zobrist in LF and Schwarber as DH. -

I may be attending this "New Beginning". Anyone else going? -
No, Rizzo was playing even with the mound with Javy covering first play went 3-6-4 aha. I was watching with one eye, saw the end of the play, and saw someone slap lester on the butt on the way back to the dugout.
-
Did Lester just field that DP ball?
-
I would love to see an all defense lineup. Not always, just once. Basically this lineup, but with Zobrist or Scissors in left.
-
Baez was in the lineup for game 7. I doubt they think he's "sub-optimal".

Otis Nixon is missing...many teeth and brain cells.

And apparently Javy thinks it's humble park. I mean, it's definitely possible, and it totally fits Javy's personality. But it's probably just as likely that his phone autocorrected. Why you gotta ruin our fun, Brandon?!

Did we call him out on it?

They announced this a few months ago...he's getting a street dedicated to him in Humboldt Park. I thought it was weird as horsefeathers too. But then, it doesn't look like the bar is real high for those honorary street signs. And apparently Javy thinks it's humble park. Jay can only be bothered to know the names of superstar parks, like Grant and My-linear park.

It's his 2nd account, even. There's 25k posts on another account for him. Interesting. But not schizophrenic I hope, lol so 75k, that means short posts or really a lot of time :D Yeah, but he's been here 14 years. At the rate you're going, you'll pass him in no time!

Austria. And still at the same place and don't ask me why ;) Why do you ask? Where are you from? Im going to be in Vienna in July...anything I NEED to see? Tunnel Hill state trail.

Molina is doctoring the ball. This needs to be investigated. -

Send that bum, Bryant, down. -
36919. *sigh*

There were questions about Addy sticking at SS? I thought he had the "double plus hands". I only read questions about arm strength. Just never read he was a plus plus defender. I remember the "doubleplus hands". Questions were about arm strength.

I like Gold Gloves and I cannot lie: the Jason Heyward thread
Bull replied to NOLA's topic in Chicago Cubs Talk
Not to mention the FO that spent significant resources and spared no expenses in overhauling the development system. I think some people really underrate that aspect when discussing the Cubs hit rate on prospects. Theo said it in his intro PC, that he wanted to create the "Cubs Way", standardize development throughout the minor league levels so that instructors, coaches and managers were all delivering the same message and focusing on developing the same way. They (via Ricketts) invested heavily in new Cubs facilities in Mesa and in the DR so that their prospects had access to the best tools and equipment possible. Yup, I think a great player like Bryant makes it no matter how your player development runs, but even very good players can be ruined (Baez, willlson, maybe even rizzo- see Padres, San Diego) by bad player development. -
A year ago, I made a bunch of posts about it. just kidding, it was a month ago So a month in St Louis feels like a year? I believe it. Five years in the metro east felt like a lifetime.

Can I link this thread to a couple Facebook groups I'm in? I will link the thread, not the videos. Might send some deserved traffic this way.
