I don't like thinking it, and maybe I should've waited until January to say it, but its not wrong. Its bad, but not wrong. There have been a million and a half articles about how the Cubs god-like defense has been on of the major, major reasons that the Cubs have had the success they've had this year. Obviously Baez isn't the sole reason for that, but he's an enormous reason for it. He's continuing to make strides at the plate, and is one of the most fun players in the league to watch play the game. That's not even mentioning the versatility that he brings that Joe absolutely loves. There's zero reason to trade Baez, and thankfully, I don't think Joe or Theo have any interest. I'm confident Theo views him as an asset.
