  1. I'll be watching on fox sports Pittsburgh. . We have moved from northeast suburbs of St. Louis to Beckley, WV. Somehow southern West Virginia is a blackout region for the Reds, Pirates and Indians. It's better than having to listen to cardinals announcers.
  2. This. And stop trying to move Soler! Schwarbers injury has shown us that depth is not a problem that needs solving.
  3. Who has won all 4 (non-consecutive)? edit (answer): None. Bob Horner (GS: 1978, ROY Jason Jennings ('99, '02) Buster Posey ('08, '10) Bryce Harper ('10, '12) These are the only four to have won Golden Spikes and ROY. None of the four won MiLB POY (neither Sporting news or Baseball America). Only Posey (2012) and Harper (2015) won MVP's.
  4. An offensive juggernaut for sure, but I'm not sure if I like that OF defense. Schwarber and Soler are both at best average, most towards below average, while Heyward loses some of his defensive value going to CF where he's going to have to cover a whole lot of ground. Bryant in right, Baez at third, either to start the game or in the late innings. Actually Baez everywhere, and everyone else anywhere he isn't. They kind of treat Baez like an extra regular. Each of those 8 gets a day off. Between Contreras being pushed off catcher and Bryant and Zobrist being pushed off the infield when Schwarbs or Soler has a day off, and a spot start for Scissor, you almost never have a starting OF of Schwarber, Heyward, Soler.
  5. I feel like you're onto something here. Baessel
  6. Does having these guys on the DL on August 31 give us more playoff roster flexibility?
  7. No love for Szczur? I'm a believer! As much as I love Fowler, if letting him walk means you can lock up Chapman, do it. Szczur at or near league minimum over the contract fowler will get (and deserves). At or near equal time for Schwarber, Ceasar, Heyward and Soler.
  8. I know, its ERA, but still cool. Leaders on the year. All five in the top 20. Hendrix 3 Arietta 5 Hammel 6 http://mlb.mlb.com/stats/sortable.jsp#sectionType=sp&sortColumn=era&season=2016&league_code='NL'&statType=pitching&game_type='R'&elem=%5Bobject+Object%5D&tab_level=child&click_text=Sortable+Player+pitching&season_type=ANY&page=1&ts=1471466217074 Second half How do you not put Hammel in the playoff rotation if he keeps this up? BTW: I'm all for a 6 man rotation the rest of the way.
  9. Its a tribune poll. I'm surprised Sammy is even an option.
  10. Was roast the guy that got his face destroyed? You should use that pic.
  11. So is that Jay Bee, or Hota Beh?
  12. I'm sorry, is there somewhere else we are talking about how Rondon is dead?
  13. Theo is getting bored
  14. I've been moving the last week and kind of lost track. Have we any word on Rondon yet? Edit: never mind. Just found an article about a sore triceps. Yikes!
  15. ...I have no joke here. I feel like this isn't getting enough attention. Thank you.
  16. ha, that was the first thing I noticed The first thing I noticed is that it was all white guys. What Dex and fowler can't play golf? I'll bet Javy drives it a mile. Probably swings and misses 20% of the time, though.
  17. "Fair expectations? We're trying to win a World Series. I didn't come here for a haircut," Lackey said. "I came here for jewelry."
  18. I was going to say something about da bum coming back next year, but I don't know enough about that situation hold a view.
  19. Absolutely. Right n schedule too. He always starts slow. We're only 100+ games into the season.
  20. This is my favorite nsbb meme
  21. Noooooooooooope. Just a bum ticker. Yup. He's probably just thinking of the reefer they found in his room. Who was the other Cardinal player that died unexpectedly. Was his drug related? I thought maybe I confused him with Chris Farley, but Farley was 5 years earlier (1997).
  22. wan't it cocaine related? If not, at least i've convinced all my Cardinal Fan friends it was, so thats fun.
  23. He's held RHP's to a .214 avg?! too bad he won't be pitching to other pitchers in the 7th.
  24. That is a made up person.
