  1. I started to yell at Kopecky for holding the puck instead of shooting when he was wide open on the game-winner where Boucher overcommitted.
  2. I'm not sure how much slower the Flyers can play. They looked pretty darn slow.
  3. Philly's defensemen, especially Pronger, were absolutely gassed in the third period. And that's after a few days off. We are going every other night through game 5, so that advantage could grow for the Hawks.
  4. WGN Radio still doesn't have the highlights up :(
  5. He seems like a really cool guy. Best line I've seen on a message board tonight, though: "This game was over when Michael Leighton looked at his driver's license and remembered that he is Michael Leighton."
  6. those non-calls on the interference on hossa and the high stick on seabrook were just atrocious. they weren't even out of position. they were right on the plays and somehow missed them The high stick on Seabrook was a good non-call. They showed a great replay of it on CBC. Seabrook shot the puck in deep, and the follow-through from his shot pulled a Flyers' player's stick into his own face.
  7. Niemi gives up 5 Kane, Toews, Byfuglien are nearly no-shows (except for Toews' face-off wins) 4 penalties to none And we won?
  8. I haven't felt this way since the Arizona game for the Bears. I want to hear a "They are who we thought they were!" speech afterwards.
  9. Hawks win! I don't even know what to think.
  10. I don't know if NBC has shown it, but the puck *completely* hit Kopecky on the bench before he came on and scored a goal. That play should have been whistled dead. Huge break.
  11. I guess we can give up on a Flyers penalty, they won't call one this late. Wouldn't be surprised to see one on Chicago.
  12. There's that Kopecky skill! Ladd who? We got such a huge break there. The puck hit a player on the bench and the play was kept alive.
  13. If it was 5-2, we'd see Huet. But this organization wants nothing to do with him in a game that is still being contested.
  14. Also, with about 3 minutes to go, I started watching the clock and hoping to just get out of the period with the lead. So that last goal is on me.
  15. No. School me, what did you guys see there. He looked in slow motion to me. Nobody gets across on those. That's a goal on every goalie in the league.
  16. A video of the Flyers scrimmaging:
  17. No. Niemi hasn't been that bad. He's basically the same goalie he was in San Jose, without the lucky bounces and good defense in front of him.
  18. We get them every 70 minutes. We've got another period+ to wait.
  19. Toews, Kane and Byfuglien are -3 each.
  20. In good shape for a repeat of 1992, 6-5 loss. I really, really hope this is just rust from being off for so long. They look horrible.
  21. Not surprised. That was just awful in slow motion, but you knew it was coming. It's like watching the fat guy with the puck in the old NES Ice Hockey game.
  22. The only reason we are in this game just skated off the ice.
  23. Hossa has been such a beast out there tonight. No goals. but he's created two singlehandedly.
