    I'd rather just be down 3-0 than have to put up with the "31outof33teamshavegoneontowinfromthispointoops we choked" bullcrap that is about to go down. Flyers look like they may just be a bad matchup for us. There is barely any difference among their top 3 lines, so Q's magic matchup voodoo isn't doing us any good.

    I didn't watch a good portion of the Nashville series because I was just too keyed up about a first-round choke. I'm thinking about taking at least game 4 off, just to calm myself down. i've thought about doing that too, but i'd never be able to. i'd end up turning it on to check the score after like a half hour and then never be able to stop. i think it just sucked that it had to be an OT loss. a regular loss wouldn't have kicked me in the balls as much. but damn, we were one goal away from being almost a sure thing for the cup. instead, all we have is a series lead of the smallest margin. It's the way they lost, for me. The last 20 minutes of ice time was just sitting back, completely dominating, waiting for them to score. We couldn't even complete a simple breakout pass and they were skating through the neutral zone every single time.

    You must have watched a different game 1 third period than I did. Not to mention we're a couple of post dingers away from having a bigger lead in game 3. If we're counting posts, the Flyers would have won at least one of the first two games. 18 shots on goal in three third periods and six minutes of overtime. Disgusting.

    You can call it overreaction if you want, but we are cooked. That's three straight games where the Flyers did whatever they wanted after the second period and we showed little to no ability to generate any sort of offense. Mark it down: Kane's goal was the high point, the series will never look that good again.

    I am convinced. We looked horrible in the third and don't deserve this. I'm guessing on a stupid penalty.

    Having a 2-0 lead and knowing they don't deserve to win is keeping me somewhat calm. I couldn't handle this in a game 7.

    What the hell was that third period? Someone tell the Blackhawks they don't get a point for going to OT and they can't just sit on a tie.

    I really hope Versteeg is a salary-cap victim in the offseason. Every time I see him, he's turning over the puck, usually in the neutral zone. He's rewarded for this by getting time with Kane and Toews.

    Very happy with that period, other than still taking too many penalties and way, way, way too fancy on the power play. If Sharp's not going to shoot from the center point, get him off the point. They keep wanting to shoot from the sides for some reason.
