  1. It sure seems to me, reading between the lines, that Moore has been pouting ever since Fields left, and he *definitely* didn't like how he was being used in this offense. I assume he's the locker room leader in terms of the mutiny.
  2. My extremely thin hope is that I'm wrong and there is some play-calling specific thing that the players want changed and it will actually make a difference. I'm not optimistic. But crazier things have happened.
  3. Players are not players because of their intelligence. The average player has the same opinions as the average Score caller outside of very position-specific technique details.
  4. That seems like the freeest money imaginable. Which of course means I'm missing something.
  5. I'd be ok with starting Bagent until the offensive line gets a bit healthier. There's no point in getting him murdered behind Larry Borom and Matt Pryor with Jake Curhan backing them up.
  6. Yeah, sorry, this has crossed over into fun bad. We've got a full player mutiny and a QB controversy and we haven't even started the divisional beatings yet. We're staring at 3 ugly losses to division rivals in an 11-day stretch. This is one of the more majestic crashouts I've ever seen a sports team pull
  7. When the players turn on the coaches, it's time to get rid of both sides and start fresh. And the guy who hired them all should be looked at too. The whole thing is rotten.
  8. I'm starting to fear the "eberflus coaches the aggressiveness out of QBs by preaching ball security" takes are spot on. So much of what's going on with Williams could be explained by being overly cautious to avoid any hint of an interception.
  9. I'm pretty sure I saw a play on Sunday where Allen ran a slant and Williams was able to come back and hit him out of the break as a third option because that's how slow Allen's slant is
  10. If the offensive tackles come back, they could maybe squeeze a competitive game out of it. Surely we're due for a dead cat bounce. But if things keep looking like they've looked the last three weeks, this team could lose out
  11. Hey everyone guess what it's packer week
  12. I don't think the playcalling is an issue, but I think that the offensive staff has lost the respect of the veteran offensive players and it shows
  13. I dunno if I'd say good at his job, but he ran a competent NFL offense in Seattle. You don't get to this point without a lot of things going wrong simultaneously. We wish it was as simple as firing some coaches or changing up the playcalling. Whether through coaching or on his own merits, Williams has turned into a tough-throw-phobic sack machine. The offensive line is kinda mid if everything stays perfect, but they aren't and it's a disaster, and it's not clear it has many plus pieces going forward. The WR room has become a black hole for assets and it's still dysfunctional and in need of a rebuild. The only real long-term piece is Odunze and has he actually shown anything special yet? Our starting RB is a hole-blind third down back. Our backup rb is a backup rb and that's all he will ever be
  14. What can you do? People throw around "adjustments" like Kramer talking about write-offs. We tried max protect. No one gets open. We tried quick hit spread, teams were crashing down on it. We tried play action, the line couldn't hold up We tried rollouts, and they didn't work because rollouts suck
  15. There's a draft every year. Everyone has young talent
  16. My stream died and I'm just going to go ahead and consider that a mercy
  17. I will be unironically disappoitned if Williams doesn't throw a pick between now and the end of the game.
  18. He's done it a couple times, but it's hard to throw those quick timing routes when teams are flooding that area because they know that your offense has absolutely zero deep threat.
  19. No, I mean I will wait until we are in the middle of one to die on that hill. No point in arguing it when he does, in fact, suck today
  20. I'm pretty sure that Williams will have a lot of good days in his NFL career, but I'll wait for one of them before I argue with anyone who says he sucks.
  21. We have absolutely nothing for 3rd and long besides "leave in extra protection, send everyone else on well-covered deep routes"
  22. And that's why max protect isn't a real solution
  23. I never want to spend a day 1 or 2 pick on defense again.
  24. I still wouldn't have minded trading down and taking a different QB.
  25. That one 100% was. They showed blitz, they brought blitz, throw the ball before the blitz gets there.
