  1. They've been a good team under this ownership before
  2. I think you're projecting your demoralization onto him
  3. Lol bears still have a positive point differential
  4. Shrug. Coaches come and go. Great QB play can sustain you for 15-20 years. I'm infinitely more excited that our rookie QB put up 340 2/0 against the defense that terrified us all year leading up to this game, than I am mad about the specifics of losing the game. Heck, if anything I would be mad at Poles for consistently prioritizing LB and DB over pass rush.
  5. My fluency in NT vibespeak is growing. I now understand that when people say stuff like this, they don't actually mean it, what they mean is "I really want to see Eberflus fired, and I feel like tying another desired outcome (Williams succeeding) to that will make it more probable or at least more likely to get universal agreement on my primary desire."
  6. I appreciate you jumping up to prove my point
  7. In five years, 97% of the roster and the entire coaching staff will have turned over. But our franchise QB will still be there.
  8. Screw 'em. 99% of football fans are morons and I'm tired of caring what they say.
  9. It was. You don't want man against Justin Jefferson. The players just weren't good enough, specifically the pass rush.
  10. I'm sure everyone is mad or whatever but I don't care. Caleb Williams is awesome, we have our franchise QB, we can figure out the rest later.
  11. I'm sure we still lose this in some comical manner but I don't care.
  12. Against a very good defense.
  13. Just let them score so Williams has time to work with
  14. Wililams is one yard away from the Bears rookie QB passing yards record, currently held by Trubisky
  15. I want another Williams 300 yard game more than I want a Bears win
  16. Yeah, he looks fine. They're really focusing on getting the ball out quickly, which I think suits him really well. As usual, we are stepping on our own junk repeatedly to kill drives.,
  17. It's hilarious how hard narratives get set early. Jayden Daniels is going to run away with ROY no matter what he does down the stretch.
  18. Depends on how the rest of the season goes. I think he's got a better chance at surviving than people realize. It's not a democracy, no matter how mad everyone is, only Poles' vote matters
  19. I don't even care about the various tragishamockeries, Williams looks awesome
  20. I don't mind the inconsistency so long as the highs are high as a rookie. If he still has that ratio in year 3, we have an issue
  21. That's totally fair. But for me, I don't need Williams to be the best in his class. I just want him to be an unquestioned franchise qb and hold down the job for a decade. Even if he's Kyler Murray level
  22. I don't know if I'd say I would never agree. I'll change my mind if I see enough evidence. I just feel like "great coach" is always hindsight proxy for "team that we didn't expect to do well but is" regardless of any consistency.
  23. Williams pace is now 3427 yards, 15 TDs, 9 ITs. That's a really, really solid rookie season.
