  1. That SearsTower Twitter dude who may or may not have inside sources says Poles wants an immediate firing but ownership was holding him back but may be convinced now
  2. Someone on reddit said they were gonna run it back with the same QB draw? Did anyone else hear that? Because if true that would make Williams overruling it make a lot more sense
  3. In the long run, that's way more important and exciting that anything negative happening right now. And that's as a rookie who clearly has tons of room to improve and grow. He could significantly cut down on his sacks and improve his accuracy in the next season or two. If he doesn't throw a dirt ball to Moore a few plays earlier, Moore probably runs it in for a touchdown and we'd be arguing about whose fault is the defense let them score with 30 seconds left
  4. Neurotypical humor is so weird. I listed a bunch of things the coaching staff did wrong. I really can't wait for him to be fired at this point. Anyways, we are now in line for a top 10 draft pick. I really wouldn't mind getting an elite tackle if there is one in this draft, pushing one of our current tackles inside
  5. Moore also openly questioning why we didn't call a timeout. I seriously think this might be it
  6. I mean after the play. No play takes 17 seconds to execute. There's no reason for Williams to think a play can't work unless he forgot they had a timeout
  7. That doesn't make sense unless Williams forgot they had one timeout left
  8. I wouldn't cry if Poles got fired. I still hate a lot of his position priorities and I'm really over his middle round cuteness
  9. That's as blatant as you're ever going to get in the NFL. He really might be gone tomorrow.
  10. With 13 seconds left, Moore and Kmet are at the line and ready to get set when they suddenly start talking about who should be where and wait another four seconds before actually getting set That was the difference between the time management working as intended and the debacle we had
  11. Looked to me like Borom didn't know the snap count or just got unbelievably hard beat off the line.
  12. If they don't break precedent and fire him mid-season, it'll be funny when Eberflus' last moments as a Bear are beating the Packers' backups in the final week when they are resting for the playoffs.
  13. 100% legit. he knocked his helmet clean off. The Kmet pick is the one that kills me. You *just* got called for that earlier in the game and you do it again? Another aspect of the curse this season is that every time anything starts to look good, two more offensive linemen get hurt. We are probably celebrating a win if Darnell Wright hadn't gotten hurt. It was Borom just reacting to the snap that got Williams killed on the sack before the time scramble debacle.
  14. That's what'll get him fired. They're going to do exit interviews with players and they have to hate him at this point.
  15. I really can't wait for Eberflus to get fired so we can spend all our time appreciating Caleb WIlliams. Our rookie QB faced two elite defenses this week and threw for 596 yards, 5 TDs and 0 turnovers. He now holds the NFL rookie record for most passes without an INT. He holds the Bears rookie records for passing yards and TDs, and has more passing yards than any season of Justin Fields' career. He is on pace for 3700 yards, 20 TDs and 7 INTs. He needs to average 245 yards per game in the final 5 games to break Erik Kramer's franchise record of 3838 passing yards.
  16. The Lions also burned a TO to prevent a delay of game, and they were at home. It was the worst possible outcome because the players on the field executed it poorly. If you wanna blame that on coaching not teaching or inspiring them to execute it correctly, go nuts.
  17. So you want him to call his last timeout with 18 seconds left facing 3rd and 27 and needing 10+ yards to be in comfortable field goal range. So now a must-gain play for a field goal is 100% strictly sideline only? If that had happened, you'd be saying "well, Eberflus managed the clock correctly"?
  18. These are very good questions. Going from 36 seconds to 8 seconds before snapping the ball in that situation is criminally poor execution. You can 100% blame coaching for that.
  19. Which comes back to: when? You want him to see his team at the line with 11 seconds left and instantly know they're going to take another 3 seconds to get the snap off and call his timeout then? If that had happened, you would have said "Wow that's the right call by Eberflus"?
  20. Yes. I will die on the hill of being correct.
  21. The correct play was to get to the line quickly, snap with about 12 seconds left, throw it over the middle, call your timeout, kick the field goal. They were slow to get to the line, then some of the receivers started futzing around at the line with something so they weren't set and they couldn't snap, the resulting confusion let the clock run from 12 to like 7 or 8, so Williams had to panic throw toward the end zone and time ran out.
  22. No chance. There's no universe where calling your last timeout facing 3rd and 27 and needing yards to get into field goal range is the right call. Zero. You take away everything in the middle of the field on a must-gain play.
  23. Then you're just wrong. Things that you can blame on coaching in the closing minute: 1) Kmet running the exact same pick that got him called before 2) Whatever that weird QB draw where nobody blocked was 3) The offense being slow to get back to the line 4) The receivers making adjustments so we can't snap with 10 seconds left But calling the timeout at any point between 36 seconds and that play being snapped was objectively the wrong call.
  24. You missed our franchise QB lighting up a defense for 3 TDs that hadn't given up any second half points in like a month
  25. So you want him calling his last timeout with 30 seconds left on 3rd and 27?
