  1. I don't like Bradley getting tossed, but there are bad calls and there are calls like that one, which was so bad there is no excuse.
  2. First time I've said it this year: That was a really, really bad strike call. 99 times out of 100, I'll give the ump the benefit of the doubt because TV distorts the angle, but there is no way on that one.
  3. One more bad throw and you have a Little League homer there.
  4. Soto is my pet worry. The guy turned it on pretty magically two years ago. It could turn off just as quickly.
  5. Dang it Fontenot, you have to go to third on that! Show some hustle! *ducks*
  6. If you wear the Cubs jersey to the game, you don't get to fist pump about grabbing that ball. Idiot.
  7. It'd been like 24 hours since we'd done that. It was due.
  8. Kosuke with a really good catch on a ball a real CF catches in a jog :)
  9. When it's hot and the wind blows out, we are going to hit like 800 home runs.
  10. If Marshall continues to match Wainright, I can live with that.
  11. I still can't get over how stupid Fontenot was yesterday. I just cannot fathom how a MLB baseball player can think it's a good idea to go to third on that play.
  12. Wow. That just completely changes everything.
  13. The Cubs are really, really stingy with the number thing. Zambrano is the only one on the current Cubs I could see getting there.
  14. Once again a lame argument. I never said Lou was perfect. I realize that in hindsight it is easy for many to second guess him.It takes no brains to figure this out. The painfully obvious point you seem to be oblivious of is that even with your hindsight and second guessing, you are only assuming that the decisions some of you would make would have worked out better, as of course they never happened beyond your fantasies. You really think that EVERYONE in baseball is so stupid that they keep paying millions to educated baseball people to be managers, when all they really need is some bozo from a message board ? Have you really ever put any real thought into this bizarre theory? Obviously not. Because strategic decisions are a very tiny part of a manager's value, so they aren't selected for that. Asking why so many managers are bad at strategy is like asking why pitchers are bad at hitting.
  15. That site disappoints me with how they carry no MLB at all. and I'm both pumped and nervous. Crosby + Malkin scares me at home, especially if Biron sucks. MLB is really, really aggressive about getting people to take stuff down, and I get the impression ATDHE doesn't want to deal with that. Myp2p.eu is good for MLB, usually. But for $20/month, MLB.TV is awesome.
  16. Watching it. Freaking Red Sox won't stop batting. Gallagher is certainly helping their cause. Careful. There's a board rule against criticizing Gallagher.
  17. Watching it. Freaking Red Sox won't stop batting.
  18. I'm serious about hustle being a breakeven proposition. It costs you as much as it gains you.
  19. His OBP is .301 since the age of 24. You can make all the excuses you want. The man has proven he cannot hit major-league pitching with any remotely acceptable level of skill. Few, if any, people who hit like he has ever turn into acceptable hitters. So you just completely ignore what hes done in the minors, and think he cant do even half of that at the major league level? Which part of the minors counts? His entire minor league career, or 600 PAs spread across sporadic playing time in two seasons? I'm guessing you *only* want to count when he was good?
