  1. I don't have one that I wear all the time. This one is probably my current favorite. http://www.wrigleyvillesports.com/core/media/media.nl?id=4415&c=679860&h=36f98b31da19ab4c2fce
  2. There's a very large list of pitchers I'd take over Samardzija...I'd probably take a 60-yr old Jesse Orosco over Smardzilla.
  3. I really hope we can break through for some runs here.
  4. Samardzilla sucks. It's time to cut bait.
  5. Well, for me it really sucked. Drove 7 hours to Atlanta on Easter Sunday. It was a beautiful day and I had a seat on the second row behind the Cubs dugout. Byrd made it appear as if it might be our afternoon, then it happened. Made for a long drive home.
  6. I fell for it at first. My friend sent it to me and in the middle of trying to get my 7th graders to finish a project, I didn't pay that much attention to it. Then I realized it was a gag. It's a pretty good one.
  7. It's apparently an April Fool's Joke.
  8. LSU going to have a purple turf next season. Link. http://image.cdnl3.xosnetwork.com/pics31/640/QX/QXQVJRCJCGFVSLJ.20100329211605.jpg
  9. The Cowboys need to get younger on the OL. We took Campbell in the first, but with no obvious needs and no players that really inspire us here, the Cowboys figure what the hell. Roll the dice with a talented, but troubled young man and take the sister [expletive], Tony Washington OT, Abeline Christian.
  10. http://fewtech.net/posters/images/sticky%20this%20thread.jpg
  11. The Cowboys war room is open to suggestions here.
  12. I with you!!! byt the way where do we pick up an application to aplly for that painting job? I wouldn't mind helping her wash it off either.
  13. Planning on taking my 11yr old daughter for her b-day opening day. Been to Turner once. Lots of tickets available on StubHub. Is that a good place to buy them? Where are you sitting? I got mine from a broker that I've bought from in the past. Stubhub is good and reliable. I've also used ebay, but you have to be careful. I'm sitting in the second row behind the Cubs dugout. It's going to be SWEET!
  14. Anecdotal evidence may not mean much here, but in 1998 I took a group of teenagers to Wrigley and we were able to get group tickets for a group of 25 to a Saturday game in June. We didn't call about getting the tickets until after the season had already begun. Try doing that now?
  15. Looking at the Cowboys opponents, it almost has to be the Bears unless the NFL has the Cowboys play a divisional opponent that game or has the Saints game then. We have to play an NFC opponent since the Lions are drawing an AFC for their turn. If you rule out division and since we can't play the Lions then, it is either the Bears or Saints. My guess is they would want to save the Saints for another time. So, who wants to come tailgate with a Cowboys fan for that game?
  16. Cowboys select Brandon Spikes, ILB.
  17. I'm not surprised about LeMahieu in AA. He's basically played against that level of competition his entire college career.
  18. I really don't think Cleveland ruined Quinn. Those problems in his game were always there.
  19. If it was all about keeping me from getting bored, I have some wonderful ideas for the Cubs infield.
  20. I'll also say that if the draft shakes out like this, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Cowboys trade back a little as well. My guess is they are hoping that Iupati or Thomas falls to the 27 spot and if neither of those are there, they are likely to trade back a few spots and try to pick up some extra picks in what is a fairly deep draft.
  21. The Cowboys wre hoping that Iupati would fall here, but he didn't and I doubt he's there in the April draft either. The Cowboys do not have to look at one position. There aren't going to be many starting jobs available next season. They would like to upgrade at safety and need some youth on the OL as all of their linemen are getting long in the tooth. They would probably also like to find an eventual replacement for Brooking at ILB and would like to add a playmaker at receiver. I think with the way this draft has gone, the Cowboys will look at three players at this spot: Terrance Cody, Bruce Campbell, and Nate Allen. Allen is probably too big a reach here and Cody ,while I believe he could be an excellent run stuffer in Phillips' 3-4, is more of a luxury here. Campbell could be developed at LT or RT depending on the team's plans for Free. He has all the measureables you want in a LT but is lackluster on film. That being said, with the age of the Cowboys lineman, I think Campbell is the pick. Dallas Cowboys- LT Bruce Campbell
  22. This thread is all kinds of disasterous.
  23. Nomar certainly had a non descript career as a cub, but yes, I'm not sure I've ever been more excited about a trade as I was on the day we got Nomar. I wanted that to work out on so many levels. For that reason, I think I'll always be a Garciaparra fan even though it didn't work out.
  24. In my opinion, the best value picks here are Derrick Morgan, Jason Pierre-Paul, and Dex Bryant. I really don't see how they can reach for an OL at this spot. I think they might take Morgan.
