I'm waiting to hear back from my war room, but I thought I would share some thoughts and get input on the Cowboys pick. With Decastro off the board, I have little doubt the Cowboys will go for defense. The players under consideration are likely Upshaw, Barron, Cox, Brockers, Kirkpatrick, or Janrois Jenkins. With the signing of Carr- I'm thinking they will pass on Kirkpatrick or Jenkins and look at the other players. Spencer is playing on franchise tender, so Upshaw could be an option. I have concerns about whether he has the speed needed and would he really be an upgrade over Spencer. Brockers has the measureables that intrigue me, but his film production and the fact he only had 2 sacks makes me wonder if he will reach his ceiling. I really like the versatility of Cox and believe he could play both end and NT in Dallas's 3-4 front. He also seems to be a disruptor, but he lacks the size of Brockers. Barron is the best safety in the draft, but I'm not certain he's a difference maker. He's solid and will likely be a good strong safety, but he lacks that speed I would want from a safety selected this high in the draft. Thoughts?
