  2. This sucks. He is so much fun to watch, and seems like a decent human. Really hate to see this happen to him. how bad could it be? i'm sure it's nothing that can't be fixed. Here's the longer link. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/01/12/griffins-knee-creates-more-concern-than-advertised/ Basically, there is talk that his meniscus is torn and that he may not have much cartiledge left which could result in bone on bone which would require microfracture surgery in the future.
  3. Rumor is floating around that Norv Turner will join Rob Chudzinski in Cleveland as OC.
  4. Browns just hired Rob Chudzinski so there goes a suitor for Saban.
  5. Rob Chudzinski is the new Browns head coach.
  6. I'm hearing that Kiffin could be named Cowboys DC by as early as tomorrow. I'm not sure how I feel about that. His reputation as a quality coordinator is solid, but I'm not sure our personel fit the cover-2 scheme. Our CB are more press corners. Those of you with a little more knowledge of Kiffin, tell me what you think.
  7. I posted this in NFL thread too. SportsCenter‏@SportsCenter BREAKING: Sources: Eagles have interviewed Notre Dame's Brian Kelly for vacant head coach job & there is mutual interest. (via

  10. I saw him get pancaked by Warmack a couple of times.
  11. I was going to post something about how I really want him on the Bears next year. FYI, both Stanford TEa turned pro - Zach Ertz and Levine Toilolo. Both are big targets, great pass catchers. If I'm running the Cowboys, he doesn't make it to the Bears. He's probably going to end up being my draft pet until I'm convinced he won't make it to 18 for the Cowboys to pick him.
  12. That offensive line is phenomenal.
  13. Chance Warmack may be the best college guard I've watched play in a really long time.
  14. While that call was horrible, if Notre Dame can't stop Bama's offense, it's going to end up being inconsequential. And I hate Bama, but [expletive] there have one hellova offensive line.
  15. Kinda rooting for this... http://images.fandango.com/images/fandangoblog/dark-knight-rises-football.jpg
  16. The only surprise name on the list of 6 defenders is Simon. All five of the others were expected to be early entrants. Wing went pro because he had gotten in trouble and there was whispers his suspension could have extended into next season. Ware hasn't been a starter since he lost his job after his drug suspension last year. He still was part of the rotation, but was 3rd on the RB depth chart. That being said, it will be tough to replace Logan, Mingo, Montgomery, Minter, and Reid. Agreed. The 5 you listed in your last sentence all have a chance at being first round picks. On the other hand, I actually had to look up who Simon was. I guess you could say 9 Tigers turned pro since Tyrann Mathieu did too. I knew who Simon was because I cussed his name numerous times this year after he got burnt. I can't see him being higher than a fifth rounder. I could be wrong, but he just doesn't impress me. The other five are great players.
  17. I'm still cheering for a giant sink hole to open up and swallow both teams.

  19. My ballot. Barry Bonds Roger Clemens Mike Piazza Jeff Bagwell Sammy Sosa Mark McGwire Tim Raines Rafael Palmeiro Craig Biggio Larry Walker
  20. I'm an LSU fan, but frankly I don't like much of the rest of the conference. I laughed at Florida getting pantsed. I did root for Georgia and will probably root for aTm since they haven't been in the conference long enough for me to hate them. I won't root for Bama as the thought of that makes me sick to my stomach.
  21. As interesting as that proposal to eliminate kickoffs is, I think 4th and 15 is too easy. Before it could even be considered, the difficulty of it would need to be increased.
  22. This might be the best part of that blog post...
  23. Similarly-it's hard to bitch much about a team like NIU getting a bcs bid when you see the video of them seeing the announcement. What a great experience for kids at ULM. One of the funny/tragic/sad/angering situations is also ULM. We used to play each other every year back in the 1-AA days of both schools and Tech got the best of ULM (which was NLU back in those days.) With the universities 30 miles apart, it was a huge rivalry game. The stadiums were packed and everyone got excited. When Tech made the move up to division 1, they stopped playing ULM and when ULM finally moved up, Tech still would not play saying that the game didn't make sense for them, etc. They said to play ULM would be taking a step backwards...etc. Well, apparently the Independence Bowl wanted a ULM-Tech match-up, but Tech wasn't willing to play..or at least not commit until they had played out other options. When the dust had settled, the Independence Bowl had moved in another direction and Tech with a 9-3 record is at home partly because they felt they were too good to play ULM.
