    If anything, the Cubs should be trying to trade Perez, Rusch, Jones, Williams, Mabry and any other bad contracts that they have at this point. Lets be honest, none of the above named players are going to make any type of impact on the Cubs playoff chances this year.

    Agreed, I just made a similar post in the game thread. The secrecy is a bit strange, Maybe Hendry finally traded Walker? :shock:

    Why is there so much secrecy over the Theriot promotion? Haven't heard anything all day about who got demoted or what the Cubs thinking behind the promotion was.

    Dusty is trying to get fired! Yay! Would you care to elaborate ? This seems like a pretty reasonable lineup to me. I think he is suprised to see Jones hitting cleanup.

    The guy who should be on the hot seat is Jim Hendry. Once again he did a poor job at putting together a team despite having a big budget. I realize Dusty is not the greatest manager in the game, but no manager would be good with the roster and injuries the Cubs have.

    Its not like Hairston has been tearing it up latetly. Lets hope that Bynum starts showing something.

    only 32 pitches through three. Would be nice if Marshall could go 7 or 8 tonight.

    From Suntimes: I guess this debunks the Dusty had to have Rusch in the rotation theory. Rusch was a horrible signing that lies soley on the shoulders of Hendry who vastly overpaid for him.

    Aardsma looked less than impressive today also. I wouldn't be suprised to see Aardsma sent down to AAA and Rich Hill brought up. Glendon could move to the long man spot in the bullpen. One thing is for sure, something has to be done about getting Rusch out of the rotation, he was lucky to have only given up as many runs as he did.

    I think Dusty actually has a point for once. Why go public with an injury if it is not necessary? Blanco playing two games in a row could be easily explained away, especially when Maddux is pitching the second day.

    There is no way Marshall will get sent down, unless he is hurt. Marshall's WHIP is pretty good and beside a couple bad innings he has looked better than any 5th starter option the Cubs currently have.

    I'm not sure Dusty would want to come back to the Cubs and if he did it must just be for the money, because every year half the stars are injured for most of the season.

    Funny thing was that Len said time for some good news and then proceeded to talk about Prior's 25 pitches and Wood not throwing. Hard to see how that is good news. :x

    Right handed power that can play first and the OF. Who would you have brought up? Sing, who is still having troubles getting acclimated to AAA? Somebody that had potential to be good someday. BTW how many games has Restovich played at 1b in his career?
