    One of the insiders over at orioleshangout.com is saying the proposed deal is Gallagher, Epatt, and Murton for Roberts.

    Let's see.... Mark DeRosa falls under this. There are a certain couple of relievers who received lucrative, multi-year contracts a couple years ago as well. howry was good for a couple of years before we signed him and has been a pretty good reliever for most of his career... you'd have a hard time finding anyone who would say that the howry signing wasn't a very good one for the cubs. the eyre signing, on the other hand, was idiotic. I wasn't thinking Howry. I was thinking more of Hawkins.

    There's always a buyout. I've moved on already. I don't think he's coming, but perusing the different U of M football blogs and message boards shows most people haven't given up "hope" that he still might come. I still don't think he's that great of a coach and that there are other coaches who could turn out to be better.

    You really have to think Hendry is going to pull a trade soon because right now we have about 50 candidates for the bullpen.

    I really doubt this is correct. He might go to the Astros, but the Astros have to be giving up more than that. That trade is like us giving up Cedeno and Theriot and a pitcher basically. Neither Burke nor Everett can hit.

I'm just thinking of teams that could carry a young reliever on their ML roster all year.... Would he have to stick on the ML roster if we traded him to another team?
